If you posted an Eyes song and don't see it here, it came in after I
called it a night. If you can think of more songs from previous letters and WANT to post
them now, feel free to go back and add them:)
It's a new day and a new letter!
What is the KEYWORD?
You can use variations. In this case, fires, fired, firing, and other reasonable variations... like this one.
I present to you.....The Fireman by George Strait.
I try hard to choose things that I don't think you guys will choose. In this case, I've got something for my non-country fans. I do try and please ya'll as much as possible.
So, I also present to you Third Day with Soul on Fire.
P.S. Stephen T. McCarthy, I think you'll really appreciate this one beginning at the 2 minute mark.
You can comment with a song tile and artist or embed the video by copy/pasting the code from the search bar. Thanks for playing along!
Special thanks to Arlee Bird and the A to Z team who make this possible!
Coldfire by Rush!

#AtoZChallenge F is for Fitzgerald
Hilarious.
DeleteSex is on Fire by Kings of Leon
ReplyDeletehttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RF0HhrwIwp0
Not heard this one before. Good song.
DeleteSomething conventional for once, although very old school--"Light My Fire" by The Doors.
ReplyDeletehttps://youtu.be/deB_u-to-IE
I really like this one...:)
DeleteSoul on Fire continues to haunt my nightmares. (I play with the worship team at church, that one gets stuck in your head for weeks, and just when you're finally free of it, some a-hole starts singing it in front of you.)
ReplyDeleteIn the same vein though......
"Fire on the Mountain" by Ed Kowalczyk
https://youtu.be/DJTYXxdVmg8
So, what you're saying is that Soul on Fire is an "earworm" song for you, right? Ah well.
DeleteCool about being on the praise team. I liked this song. It was new to me, so thanks!
I liked your second song, Robin. The first one was a bit too country for my taste, although I do like some country music - the ones that have a rock vibe, anyway. The first song that came to mind when I saw your topic: It was campy good fun, back in the day. ☺

Two more:
DeletePlay With Fire by the Rolling Stones and
Fire and Rain by James Taylor
That first song was funny. Again, new to me. So thanks!
DeleteAny time. I'm probably older than most people here, so I have a long musical history to draw upon. ☺
DeleteFire and Ice by Pat Benatar
ReplyDeleteFinally something I KNOW. ;)
Deletelove your theme! Too bad I am so title challenged! Cheers!
ReplyDeleteElmer Fudd - Fire (I'm in a silly mood today)
ReplyDeletehttps://youtu.be/vUZUKRxYalU
I've not heard the Elmer Fudd version of this before today. This song holds a fond place in my heart (not this version, of course), but The Pointer Sisters. Ah... this is taking me back...
DeleteWhoa, things are WAY too classy in here. Let's bring that down a few notches, huh?
ReplyDeletehttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yRvrxl0UINI
Obviously, you haven't listened to anything prior to your own posting. "Classy" isn't the precise word I'd choose for these offerings. Some are very funny, though.
DeleteThis song is terrible, Bryan. Really terrible, though. I'll let you know later what your prize is.

'Loyal American Underground'
Did you like the second song I posted???
DeleteHa! Sorry, GIRL WONDER, I didn't even notice the remark directed to me, and I didn't play either song because I was about to rush outta da house. So I just saw the keyword, posted my song quickly and ran out the door.
DeleteMusically, I wasn't real wild about the song, but I definitely liked and can relate to the lyrics. I also really like the band's name. I think that 3rd Day is just around the corner. 2028 or 2029, to be specific.

Not my favorite, Stephen. Not my favorite.

Thank you for this. Love me some Indigo Girls.
DeleteHey guys, I'm traveling today. I will catch up with blogging (I hope!) this evening. It's been a super long day.
ReplyDeleteBruce Springsteen, "I'm on Fire."

This is a HOT song.
DeleteFire And Rain - James Taylor with lyrics
ReplyDeletehttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C3uaXCJcRrE
This song came out before my time (as in before my interest in popular music). When I was a senior in high school I heard this song on the radio for the first time. The DJ didn't say the name of the song or who sang it. I spent months singing what I could remember to anyone who would listen to see if they could identify it. Eventually I got a winner. And then I bought a cassette tape of his greatest hits. That tape still holds a special place in my heart. As does this song. Thank you, Dixie.
DeleteI'd hate to tell you the word change a buddy and I did to The Fireman back in the day...
ReplyDeleteAnyway...
I woulda posted Bob Seger's Fire Lake, but he's one of those "I don't wanna be on social media" types and the best out there is what one commenter called "a turd of a live video". Sorry!
I'll take your entry minus the video. YW.
