You guys did great with yesterday's word: Blue. Here are the songs you thought of with Blue in the title:
D.G. Hudson: Once in a Blue Moon by Van Morrison

Alex J. Cavanaugh: Blue Monday by Orgy
Andrea: Blue Moon by The Marcels
Holli: Behind Blue Eyes Limp Bizkit and Blue Christmas by Elvis
Stephen T. McCarthy: Big Car Blues by Lightnin' Hopkins
and Blue Sunday by The Doors
triggering me to post Babysitting Blues from the movie Adventures in Babysitting
Diane Wolfe: Midnight Blue by ELO
Debbie the Doglady: Mamy Blue by Los Pop Tops
Birgit: Blue Skies by lots of artists!
ABFTS: Blue (Da Ba Dee) by Eiffel 65 and a promise of horrible 90s songs for future letters
Guilie: Behind Blue Eyes by The Who
John Holton: Blue on Blue, Bluer Than Blue, and My Blue Heaven
Marcy: Kind of Blue by Miles Davis
Blue Grumpster: Moody Blue by Elvis
Rosey: Am I Blue by George Strait, Forever in Blue Jeans, Babe by Neil Diamond

Dixie: Love Is Blue by Paul Mauriot
Mike Spain: Blue Train by Jimmy Page and Robert Plant
Pinku-Sensei: Blue Monday by Orkestra Obselete
If you posted a Blue song and don't see it here, it came in after I called it a night. If you can think of more Angel or Blue songs and WANT to post them now, feel free to go back a post (or two) and add them:)
It's a new day and a new letter!
What is the KEYWORD?
You can use variations. In this case, cries, cried, and crying are also acceptable.
I present to you...Can't Cry Anymore by Sheryl Crow.
You can comment with a song using blue or blues or embed the video. Thanks for playing along!
Special thanks to Arlee Bird and the A to Z team who make this possible!
On this snowy Monday morning, a little Janice...Cry Baby https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eDIaDS9HhMw
ReplyDeleteSnowy Monday morning? Ah, that's terrible. I live in Florida and it's SUNNY.
DeleteSo, I can see why you'd CRY BABY.
Beat me to it! :) I'll look for another song now. We have snow too. Yuck!
DeleteDoes crying count? If so, "Crying Time." - Ray Charles
ReplyDeleteYes, it does!
DeleteGIRL WONDER ~
ReplyDeleteI have a good one I could use by some blokes from Liverpool which actually includes the keyword TWICE in the title. But I'll leave that for someone else while I stick with the more obscure.
'CRY FOR HOME' - Van Morrison

~ D-FensDogG
'Loyal American Underground'
You simply can't go wrong with Van Morrison.
DeleteFar Cry by Rush!
ReplyDeletehttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CSoiURfbP9s
You guys think of so many songs that never enter my brain. Good job!
DeleteBig Girls Cry by Sia.
ReplyDeletehttps://youtu.be/4NhKWZpkw1Q
I liked the song okay, but this video was
DeleteS-T-R-A-N-G-E.
I can see why she'd cry...;)
Sia is strange, so the video fits.
DeleteCrying - the Roy Orbison and KD Lang version
ReplyDeletehttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vmisOxCHEiw
Funny, but this song has been in my head since last night when I reviewed this post.
DeleteI recognized John Cryer from the video, but didn't recognize the movie. I had to click over to YouTube for more details. Says it was from a film called HIDING OUT. Have you seen it?
I have it. It was OK. I worked at a video store part time in college and i played it quite a bit in the store. The story is very exagerrated. Jon Cryer sells something for the mob (i dont remember) and then "hides" by playing a student in HS. I would go far away if i was hiding from the mob.
DeleteWell, dang. I guess I would, too. Of course, I think I'd listen to that little voice inside that had to be screaming, "Don't do it. This isn't going to work out well!" But that's just me. Obviously.
DeleteJustin Timberlake - Cry Me A River (Official)
ReplyDeletehttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DksSPZTZES0
Justin Timberlake looks so young in that video. I tend to forget how long he's been at this "singing thang."
DeleteThe Cure — Boys Don't Cry (extra points for 'C'ure? :D )
ReplyDeletehttps://youtu.be/ryImbOTDXe8
Guilie @ Life In Dogs
Gosh, I love hearing The Cure. Really takes me back...
DeleteJohnny Cash 'Cry, Cry, Cry'
ReplyDeletehttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XHaVmFKnK7w
This takes me back to my dad and his record player!
DeleteI was going to use Janis as well, but since Andrea beat me to it, how about some Beatles? ☺
ReplyDeletehttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nV-40QpYnjQ
I added one more song each to "A" and "B". This is something I could spend all day doing. ☺ Great idea, Robin!
DeleteI love me some Beatles. I'll check out your new entries!
Deletefun theme- I cannot think of one that hasn't been taken already...so I'll just sit here and CRY! hahah
ReplyDeleteHa!
DeleteIs cry baby a song or just a movie? Either way, it's a pretty epic movie. :)
ReplyDeleteI had to look it up, but yes, there is a song. Here it is:

Did someone ask for a terrible 90s boy band? No, of course you didn't.
ReplyDeletehttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xZje-EqSosw
I know you were trying to keep up the trend of lousy songs, but you forgot this ONE LITTLE THING. Or didn't know it. Either way, I fell just a little bit in love with Nick Carter during Dancing With The Stars last season. I mean who can resist this???
Deletehttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NoUnJcsstnw
And if you still don't see it, try this one on...
Deletehttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=82Ur_Pr0L8w
And yet THIS will always be the Nick that captivated my young heart.

DeleteApparently I still can't embed an image. Have I mentioned how much I hate this thing when it doesn't work???? I would link like you did, but I don't know how to do that either. So, I'll just say this: that was funny. My image was hilarious, but you'll never see it...
DeleteI'll cry instead, by the Beatles and Jamie's Crying by Van Halen and I'm so Lonesome I could cry by Hank Williams
ReplyDeleteIt's the trifecta! Thanks for showing up with a handful of songs!!!
DeleteLots of great songs. So what's the rules about a double song, but done by another person? I see Cry Me A River has been posted, but I would have selected Diana Krall's version. ;)
ReplyDeleteYou know me. LOL But just to be sure, I'll select another song.
Madonna - Don't Cry For Me Argentina
https://youtu.be/MEMUsC8ppU0
I've always liked that song. Thanks!
DeleteLet Her Cry by Hootie and the Blowfish. Love that song!
ReplyDeleteWhy can't I embed in your Comments?? This is the 2nd time I've tried (I tried with Angel last week). I see others are able to embed. I keep getting a tag that says "HTML Cannot be accepted". Crap!
This is such a fun theme! I missed the letter B. :(
Michele at Angels Bark
trying again with a different embed code:

DeleteSurprised nobody remembered this one...
ReplyDeletehttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KxtPRF6NG7I
They were saving it for YOU!
DeleteI really like the video on this song. I can't look away.
Okay, Robin, I think I hate your theme. I keep getting lost in the comments and spending way too much time here. LOL. So now I'm crying because I'm listening to music instead of writing.
ReplyDeleteSusan Says
Love to hate or hate to love???
DeleteFirst thought, Cry Baby Cry by the Beatles.
ReplyDeleteSecond thought, It's my party and I'll cry if I want to.
Both are still available, and they're yours!
DeleteCry Me A River, by Julie London.

I noticed this one on your "C" post, so I'm not at all surprised to see it here:)
DeleteI have to give it to Roy Orbison's Crying
ReplyDeleteGood song!

I always say better late than never.
DeleteRobin, I'm really enjoying your theme A LOT! I know I'm late with playing here, but here's my song choice for the prompt of Cry.
