It is that day again. What day is that you ask? How can you have forgotten? Drum roll please. It is HERE'S TO YOU THURSDAY, of course! The very best day of the blogging week. It is the precursor to the best day of the work week.

To recap for any newbies to this event: The best (or worst) part is that I am not going to explain why I chose "whatever" footage for each of you. If, you watch your footage and are scratching your head at the end, well that means I didn't do a very good job. However, all is not lost. You can email me at and ask me what I was thinking when I chose that particular piece of footage off of youtube and connected it to you. And then I will tell you. Then I will start sending up prayers that I haven't offended the crap out of whoever is on the receiving end of that Because, honestly, I will tell you right now... I admire all of you enormously so I really hope that doesn't happen.

Also, this is not an exclusive venture by any means. I hope that you will take the time to watch ALL of the footage because I don't pick bad footage:-) I also hope that you might check out the blog of the person I dedicated the footage to because they are pretty darn awesome. If you haven't figured this out yet... I pick the footage based on something that you've written or something that I've gleaned from your personality. Think on that for a while... If you are having trouble watching the entire video (meaning it is being cut off on one side), click on it a couple of times and it will take you straight over to youtube. If you click on the four squares at the bottom corner of the video, it will enlarge it to fill your screen. The escape key will bring it back to normal size. The back arrow will bring you back to my page. Of course, you will have to deal with this all over again: Lastly, don't forget to turn off my music player at the bottom of the page. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Now, let's get this PARTY STARTED!!!!

This one is for everyone (My understanding is that commercial is actually running in Germany on TV. Warning: You may have to watch it two times or more.):

This one is for Bathwater at memento mori:

This one is for Java at Never Growing Old:

This one is for Red Shoe's Chronicles:

This one is for Kimber at Convergence:

This one is for Sharon at Musings of a Mercurial Woman and Margot Potter at the impatient blogger:

This one is for Phoenix at Res Ipsa Loquitur:

This one is for Misery at LEFTOVERS from ILLUMINATION:

  1. "'re gonna carry that weight, carry that weight, a long time..." - let me just say that as far as my current situation and state of mind goes: VERY adequate. It made me think that, well, I keep freaking out and all, while in the end all this is just a consequence of my stupid decisions (and my freaking out). Thanks for this video, it surely was helpful because 5 minutes and 13 seconds ago I was on the verge of having a stupid panic attack (I guess it's gone now. I hope).

The amazing thing about this Eminem song is that in fact it's good for all kind of occasions, isn't it. I'm really happy you're spreading the love...or, actually, in this case it's rather spreading the anger of the white mid-thirties rapper :) But, no, the song is brilliant.

AND because I don't really feel like writing a lot in my blog today I might post the song that made me come up with the whole "misery" nick. Just letting you know that I still remember that I promised to write about it!

  2. I love it when I get why you did them for others also!

These Thursdays are touching and warm. We're lucky to know you Robin!

  3. Ah, Purple Cow. You have ferreted out my selfish reason for wanting all of my friends to be friends with each other. It makes Thursdays ever so much more fun!

  4. Indifferent doctor? Feisty mom? Who could ask for anything more appropriate?

Robin, yet again, you make me laugh. Cheers to you.

  5. I am so thrilled at my Superhero music video. Yayyyy...that kinda pretty much made my week.

Also, I love, love, love Eminem's song "Not Afraid" and think it's pretty rad you gave it to Bath. (I also saw your comment on Misery's blog with the lyrics and commented right after. You kind of said everything I wanted to say. You're really good at that, you know?!) ;)

6., I've got a question: what do you mean by saying that I'm using 'copying mechanism'?Because I think that my poor English is getting in the way....

(and of course I know you've got good intentions. I really like your comments and words of motivation!)

  7. Robin,

I was given a once in a lifetime gift last night... I got to go see THE Sir Paul McCartney in concert. It was simply an amazing experience.

But... as much as I LOVE LOVE LOVE Paul... He did not reduce me to tears.

Your song for me, however, has completely undone me. In a really good way! *snif*

Thank you... for everything. I'm saving your words to refer back to... to remind me... :0)

  8. Thank you for your comment on our photo! Now you know who you are blogging with! ( :
    Have a pretty day!

  9. I am waiting till I can get out of the office and actually listen to my video.

  10. I hear you, guess I'll have to add that to my play list.

  11. Robin... thank you so much... I do think I got the message from the video you selected for me! Thank you SO much!! :o)

Kimber? You got to see Sir Paul?!?!?!

    I am SO jealous!!!!

  12. The guitar outro for the BeaTle song for Misery... in that segment of the song, Paul, John, and George took turns playing the different segments of that solo... it's fun to try to discern who is playing what...
