It is that day again. What day is that you ask? How can you have forgotten? Drum roll please. It is HERE'S TO YOU THURSDAY, of course! The very best day of the blogging week. It is the precursor to the best day of the work week.

I notice that I actually have some newbies for this event. How exciting! Well, here is what is going down. This is a weekly event. The best (or worst) part is that I am not going to explain why I chose "whatever" footage for each of you. If, you watch your footage and are scratching your head at the end, well that means I didn't do a very good job. However, all is not lost. You can email me at and ask me what I was thinking when I chose that particular piece of footage off of youtube and connected it to you. And then I will tell you. Then I will start sending up prayers that I haven't offended the crap out of whoever is on the receiving end of that Because, honestly, I will tell you right now... I admire all of you enormously so I really hope that doesn't happen.

Also, this is not an exclusive venture by any means. I hope that you will take the time to watch ALL of the footage because I don't pick bad footage:-) I also hope that you might check out the blog of the person I dedicated the footage to because they are pretty darn awesome. If you haven't figured this out yet... I pick the footage based on something that you've written or something that I've gleaned from your personality. Think on that for a while... If you are having trouble watching the entire video (meaning it is being cut off on one side), click on it a couple of times and it will take you straight over to youtube. If you click on the four squares at the bottom corner of the video, it will enlarge it to fill your screen. The escape key will bring it back to normal size. The back arrow will bring you back to my page. Of course, you will have to deal with this all over again: Lastly, don't forget to turn off my music player at the bottom of the page. Sorry for the inconvenience.

  1. (Diving into this blog thing headfirst) The idea of being able to be what you're supposed to be, no matter how much others want you to be what they want is so loaded for me- from both sides. Was a true die hard Ally McBeal fan back in the day, as well...

  2. oh, I've never heard about this guy before. but whoever directed the video did a really good job there.

  3. Such a cool cool idea! You are so great - I love that you did this for all these special peeps!

  4. You know... I LOVED the 'Ghost Busters' theme song... Did you know that Huey Lewis (of Huey Lewis and The News) won a lawsuit against Ray Parker Jr. alleging that the 'GhostBuster' theme was too much of a copy of 'I Wanna New Drug...'

I love these!!! You do a GREAT job with them!!!

  5. Just courious much time do you put into these Thursday post...on average? You really listen and take your time to let others know they are being heard. Great job again this week.

    Carol-the gardener

  6. @Carol ~ The easiest ones come to me immediately, as in when I am reading someone's blog. I keep my notebook by my laptop. Right then I write down that person's name and whatever footage I have in mind for them. Sometimes a person will just write something that I think I can find something to work with because it is BIG idea. That means I don't exactly what I will do with it, but I think I can find something. Then there are the weeks when Tuesday rolls around and my notebook is pretty empty. That is bad. At that point, I start to mentally review what you guys have written and start clicking on everyone I follow and scroll through your posts to see if anything triggers for me. Those are tough. However, it always works out. It definitely works out best when I make notes as I go along. Time? It's hours. I can sometimes be an hour just for one video if it isn't going well. Other times, it comes easy. However, this is a labor of love, so I don't clock it:-)

  7. HAHA...I guess that my issue has become the next big global problem that will be addressed by Al Gore...excessive naturally generated methane gas...I sure that blanket thing works :-)

It's funny that you post that today because my hubby is in class again tonight and GUESS what I hear?! TONS of noise off my deck. I think there are two packs of coyotes, an elk doing some mating call and NO JOKE there is something big that is snorting and wrestling the heck out of some bushes not far from our door. Ummm, ALWAYS WHEN THE HUBBY IS GONE!

  9. OK, Robin! THat was so perfect on so many levels! Lady, you know me and I know exactly why you chose it for me! Love it!!!! Well, its a new weekend and my black eye is almost cleared up. Time to break out those 5 inch hooker heels again!LOL Thanks for the smile.I may have to share this on my blog. Getting ready to travel. i will get back to it tonight, once I reach my in laws! Happy Friday, my Friend!
