Hello! It's me again. In case the week has completely gotten away
from you... today is Thursday. And you KNOW what that means. You
don't? It's HERE TO YOU THURSDAY!!!! ::horns blow raucously::
This
is a weekly event landing typically on Thursdays. The best (or worst)
part is that I am not going to explain why I chose "whatever" footage
for each of you. If, you watch your footage and are scratching your head
at the end, well that means I didn't do a very good job. However, all
is not lost. You can email me at rarichards68@gmail.com
and ask me what I was thinking when I chose that particular piece of
footage off of youtube and connected it to you. And then I will tell
you. Then I will start sending up prayers that I haven't offended the
crap out of whoever is on the receiving end of that email....lol.
Because, honestly, I will tell you right now... I admire all of you
enormously so I really hope that doesn't happen.
Also,
this is not an exclusive venture by any means. I hope that you will take
the time to watch ALL of the footage because I don't pick bad
footage:-) I also hope that you might check out the blog of the person I
dedicated the footage to because they are pretty darn awesome. If you
haven't figured this out yet... I pick the footage based on something
that you've written or something that I've gleaned from your
personality. Think on that for a while... If you are having trouble
watching the entire video (meaning it is being cut off on one side),
click on it a couple of times and it will take you straight over to
youtube. If you click on the four squares at the bottom corner of the
video, it will enlarge it to fill your screen. The escape key will bring
it back to normal size. The back arrow will bring you back to my page.
Now, let's get this PARTY STARTED!!!!
This one is for everyone:
This one is for Michelle Dennis Evans ~ author:
This one is for Steven Symes, Writer:
This one is for Stephen T. McCarthy at FERRET-FACED FASCIST FRIENDS:
This one is for Susan Gourley/Kelley at Susan Says:
This one is for Red Shoes at Red Shoe's Chronicles:
The Challenge was cute. :)
ReplyDeleteI saw The Challenge recently - it's just awesome!!
ReplyDeleteI was already a little disinterested in "The Challenge" after a few seconds because it looked like a commercial....and it started to drag a little, but I stuck with it....the end was worth it!
ReplyDeleteI don't think you're going to convert Stephen T. with that video (although I have long suspected him of being a closet boy band fan....I could sweat I saw him in an NSYNC tee shirt once)....

Hahahahaha. Stephen, I want to see a pic of you in that NSYNC tee;)

ReplyDeleteYeah, they've got all the right faces in all the right places and, yeah, we're going down!
You really fooled me with this one. When I first came here, all the text was visible but the videos were absent. (It sometimes takes me several attempts to get your blog to load properly.) So I saw right away that there was a video posted here for me, but I didn't know what it was.
I clicked back to my Dashboard to try loading this page a second time and while I was waiting, I thought to myself: I'll bet anything the video is going to be a "Two Dollars!" scene from 'BETTER OFF DEAD'.
I was surprised to see I was wrong. I clicked on the video play button and, despite the words "One Republic - All The Right Moves', when it first started, seeing all the people in masks, I thought I was about to watch a scene from the movie 'EYES WIDE SHUT'. That's a movie I've never viewed but I know it's about a "secret elite, hiding in the shadows and creating a luciferian global system" (think: Bohemian Grove) and I know there's a famous masquerade scene in 'Eyes Wide Shut'.
I'd never heard of this band or this song before. You know what's funny? You could probably post this same song on ANY week, as a tribute to my current blog bit, and it would be apropos. (Methinks I'm in a bloggin' rut.)
Thanks for the shout-out, Sister!

Love the Quinto and Nimoy video! I'll have to visit some of the bloggers I'm not familiar with over the next few days.
ReplyDeleteJulie
Loved all these. Dream Big is perfect for Michelle!
ReplyDeletemail4rosey & Alex ~ I have watched The Challenge several times now and I still laugh at the end. ::hahaha::
ReplyDeleteLC ~ See his comment below... booya!
Stephen ~ Yeah, it is true that this song would be relevant for you nearly all of the time BUT I think it is important that you continue to send out the message in new and different ways. You never know what you will write that will make sense to a person that it all becomes real for them. Until I started reading your blog I was pretty clueless to The Bigger Picture. Did I know The Federal Reserve was a problem? Heck yeah. But, I didn't understand how it all tied together. Now I do and ALL OF THE CRAZY in our government makes perfect sense when viewed the correct lens. Scary as crap. But perfect.
Julie ~ I hope you do. This is how blogging friends are made:)
Carol ~ Yeah, I hope that she likes it!!!
I LOVE the clip with Leonard Nimoy and Zachary Quinto, and obviously I'm not the only one!
ReplyDeleteRobin, you mentioned on my blog that you'd like to be put on my publisher's Send Me an ARC list. If you want to email me at dksalerni@gmail.com I'll get all the information from you that I need to give to them!
I like the fact that these clips aren't as well-known as your usual ones. And Justin Timberlake is adorable.

Ha, Robin...!!!

ReplyDeleteRobyn ~ So glad that you watched some new stuff today!
Shoes ~ Ha!
Rebecca ~ :)
I've seen the Spock challenge one before. Still cracks me up. Go Bilbo!! :))
ReplyDeleteNice to meet you!
Great picks yet again! I love it that you've got dialogue going between bloggers here in the comments section- something rarely seen by me anyway... What a great way to get interaction going!
ReplyDeleteThe Spock challenge always makes me chuckle. Too good to get tired of it. :D
ReplyDeleteDear Robin.... the Challenge
ReplyDeleteYes, it was me on email but I haven't been able to follow through yet, Sorry. I'm on a whopper of a cleanse now. Sets me back a little. I apologize.... you prob thought it was a scammer. I start too many projects at one time. Enjoy your weekend.
I like The Challenge, too; it's fun and of course, I'm a huge Star Trek fan :)
ReplyDeleteAnd Friday roles around once again and I'm reading Robin's Thursday post. Well done, as usual. Like others, I love the Nimoy clip. I learn a lot about music and other bloggers here. Thanks Robin!
ReplyDeleteHey Robin,
ReplyDeleteI have no idea what "The Challenge" is. Very interesting ending, even I thought it started out as a car commercial.
Once again, I'm sure your video choices were most excellent for those mentioned.
Have a good weekend. Yes, time zones. Almost Saturday morning.
Gary :)
L.G. ~ That Bilbo song cracks me up every time.
ReplyDeleteJasmine ~ If you followed Stephen's blog you would see LOTS of interaction. It is one of the MOST interactive blogs I have ever read in the comments...
Al ~ Yes. I can watch it repeatedly, too!
Manzie ~ Sorry you are feeling "off," but I am relieved to know that was you.
mshatch ~ Who isn't???? LOL.
Liza ~ I love it that you visit the posts of the dedicatees. You rock!
Gary ~ It is a car commercial. A very funny car commercial.
Yes, us writers know some weird, weird stuff! :)
ReplyDeleteI watched The Challenge about 20 times! Fantastic! Keep writing, Robin.
ReplyDeleteCan't believe I missed last Thursday. It's so nice to know you read my monster post. You're the best.
