HERE'S TO YOU THURSDAY

image found at www.weheartit.com
SURPRISE. Drum roll please. It is once again HERE'S TO YOU THURSDAY. Yes, you read that correctly.  HERE'S TO YOU THURSDAY is back on Thursday.  For those of you unfamiliar with the once again weekly HERE'S TO YOU THURSDAY posts, I bet you're wondering what is going on.   Well, peeps, let me give you the skinny on this event...

This is a weekly event landing typically on Thursdays.  The best (or worst) part is that I am not going to explain why I chose "whatever" footage for each of you. If, you watch your footage and are scratching your head at the end, well that means I didn't do a very good job. However, all is not lost. You can email me at rarichards68@gmail.com and ask me what I was thinking when I chose that particular piece of footage off of youtube and connected it to you. And then I will tell you. Then I will start sending up prayers that I haven't offended the crap out of whoever is on the receiving end of that email....lol. Because, honestly, I will tell you right now... I admire all of you enormously so I really hope that doesn't happen.

Also, this is not an exclusive venture by any means. I hope that you will take the time to watch ALL of the footage because I don't pick bad footage:-) I also hope that you might check out the blog of the person I dedicated the footage to because they are pretty darn awesome. If you haven't figured this out yet... I pick the footage based on something that you've written or something that I've gleaned from your personality. Think on that for a while... If you are having trouble watching the entire video (meaning it is being cut off on one side), click on it a couple of times and it will take you straight over to youtube. If you click on the four squares at the bottom corner of the video, it will enlarge it to fill your screen. The escape key will bring it back to normal size. The back arrow will bring you back to my page.

Now, let's get this PARTY STARTED!!!!

  4. Thank you, Robyn. I need to take that to heart.
Just checking in from the beach. Mini-Alex doesn't like sand.

  6. Some great choices, as usual...especially the Dr. Seuss one. That really hit home for me :)

Also, I've just recently started getting into Supernatural so that one was -exactly- accurate in more ways than one.

    Thank you! :D

  7. There's a lot of inspiration in these clips. I love Dr. Seuss and Alex, so I especially appreciated that one.

Carol ~ Absolutely loved Joan of Arcadia. Thought it was one of the best shows ever.

Alex ~ When you get a chance maybe you should check out the clip I dedicated to JJ. In the meantime, glad you liked YOURS.

Al ~ As soon as I read your last post, I had your video for the week. Click. You're welcome.

Mark ~ So great when more than one person benefits from someone's video. Awesome! Very cool about the Supernatural vid clicking with you in multiple ways....love that when that happens:D

  9. LOL at the Southern girls making their single syllable curse words have two (syllables).

And LOL at the Griswolds. That's so our life, and yet I'm ready to vacation again, hah!

  10. Good stuff! (As usual.) I'm glad you didn't try to find a video to go with my "tobacco smoke enema" post. THAT wouldn't have been a pleasant one to watch at all...

  11. So much going on around here this week and lo and behold, here you are with another lovely video for me! I'm glad I finally checked in again. It was a wonderful and appropriate little vacation of the mind. I think I caught some meaningful lyrics in there. I'll have to listen again.
From this weeks stuff I can see that I am right on track to becoming a southern woman some day. I also can imagine JJ secretly wishing he could go off on some hotel idiot some time. He's probably too polite or at the very least just wouldn't waste his time. Still, it's funny to imagine. Like the Dr. Seuss thing. It's funny how many successful people were told no so many times and their talent was not seen for what it is. Kind of like a certain math professor my husband had in college... oh I'd like to send her a copy of his ACAS, but no- I have too much class...

  12. mail4rosey ~ I'm sure your vacations are better than the Griswolds. However, if you don't go soon, you will have a "timing" problem of your own;)

Susan ~ I didn't even try to find something that went with your "tobacco smoke enema" post. Hahahaha.

    Cathrina ~ These are fun:)

Jasmine ~ Monsoon is one of my favorite Jack Johnson songs that didn't become a hit. The lyrics are both soothing and TRUE. I know that JJ's video wasn't an exact match-up to his vacation experience, but I thought he would appreciate it anyway:) As for those people in authority who tell people they aren't skilled or good (or whatever), they really should be more careful with their words. Teachers, in particular, wield so much influence with their opinion... they can infuse someone with a dream or take it away. It takes someone with a very strong self of who they are and what they are meant do to to overcome that sort of negative thinking. I am glad your husband didn't listen and kept on going!

  13. Hmmm. That is why my perfect vacation is somewhere in the wilderness. There, even God can smoke and eat salami and it wouldn't bother me a bit.

    1. Yeah, I knew that. It wasn't the favored vacation destination of this character either. He only went because his wife really wanted to go, and she'd gone to plenty of vacation spots of his choosing. However, it still didn't turn out to be the spa experience anyone was expecting!
