HERE'S TO YOU THURSDAY

Bada Bing!  It's Thursday.  And that means it is time for a little bit of HERE'S TO YOU!

If you don't know what I am blabbering about, it is Thursday.  And that means another post dedicated to all of you and the excellent blogging you have done this week.  So, sit back and enjoy.  It's HERE'S TO YOU DAY!!!

This is a weekly event landing typically on Thursdays.  The best (or worst) part is that I am not going to explain why I chose "whatever" footage for each of you. If, you watch your footage and are scratching your head at the end, well that means I didn't do a very good job. However, all is not lost. You can email me at rarichards68@gmail.com and ask me what I was thinking when I chose that particular piece of footage off of youtube and connected it to you. And then I will tell you. Then I will start sending up prayers that I haven't offended the crap out of whoever is on the receiving end of that email....lol. Because, honestly, I will tell you right now... I admire all of you enormously so I really hope that doesn't happen.

Also, this is not an exclusive venture by any means. I hope that you will take the time to watch ALL of the footage because I don't pick bad footage:-) I also hope that you might check out the blog of the person I dedicated the footage to because they are pretty darn awesome. If you haven't figured this out yet... I pick the footage based on something that you've written or something that I've gleaned from your personality. Think on that for a while... If you are having trouble watching the entire video (meaning it is being cut off on one side), click on it a couple of times and it will take you straight over to youtube. If you click on the four squares at the bottom corner of the video, it will enlarge it to fill your screen. The escape key will bring it back to normal size. The back arrow will bring you back to my page.

Now, let's get this PARTY STARTED!!!!

  1. Not sure Julie deserved something that tender after her week of gross-me-out posts. :P

  4. What a wonderful surprise that you included me, and in such a clever way! "Pick me, choose me," is the underlying meaning behind my IWSG post, and you captured it perfectly! Bravo Robin! Thank you so much! The other clips were great too, but I can't stop smiling from this one.

  5. Ha, I love Al Diaz's one. The Big Bang Theory is one of my favourite shows.

  6. Aww, thanks Robin! I sure could use some right now.

  7. Regarding the one for Julie/Empty Nest, no woman should ever let a man - no matter how hot - eat the last piece of cheesecake. Great eclectic mix as always, Robin.
Have a great Friday and weekend.

  8. I LOVE the dictionary for Christmas. A good book on grammar would help, too.

  9. Alex ~ I think he will appreciate it!

L.G. ~ Now you are making me laugh. Sometimes these posts require "digging a little deeper." NOT in a gross sort of way:P

Phoenix ~ Your post resonated with me. I understand those feelings well. And I am so glad you are back to blogging. Missed you too!

Al Diaz ~ That one makes me laugh each time I see it. Glad you liked it just as much!!!

Julie ~ I am so happy that you "got" it. Whew.

Lynda ~ Love it when the videos speak to more than the recipient. That is great!!!

Yvonne ~ I know. Hang in there.

Robyn ~ It really depends on the man.... ha!

    LD ~ Yes, it would!

  11. I always like Thursday and your videos but I have to say I like the last one about the dictionary. It made me laugh! Definitely enjoyed!

  12. A lot of fun videos, Robin! I always enjoy watching what you come up with.:)

And just to let you know -- I'm going to jump into the mix with the next BOTB and post a couple of videos myself. I've already got the Christmas song picked out and know what versions I'm going to offer up to battle. :)

Looking forward to BOTB #10 on the 15th!

  13. You always entertain me with your Thursday's post even though I usually don't see it until Friday.

  14. I like the last one the best. HA HA!

  15. I like your choice in all of them, well, except the John Mayer, singer. I suppose he is somebody really thought of as wonderful but his voice grates on my ears.

  16. Pk ~ Done and done!

Gossip Girl ~ The reason is so funny is that it is so TRUE.

Chris ~ That is great. I look forward to listening to your picks in the next BOTB.

Susan ~ You aren't alone. There are always latecomers.

    Steve ~ I know. Hilarious.

Manzanita ~ You should like the first one. I do believe I "took" it from you:)

  17. Robin, I know why you picked that meme out for me, and it is true! That first video was powerful, than you for sharing.

  18. Hi Robin,

Yay to me and my usual late arrival. It's all go in my life. So before I go, I note your videos. And yes, that first one is profound. It's a beautiful day that I'm blessed to see.

A big bang out of this posting. Free hugs from Penny the Jack Russell dog and modest internet superstar! Farcebook statuses. I wonder if the dictionary would be in proper English as in English, English! :)

It's Sunday morning. I'm typing from the future. Well cool.....

  19. Oh dearie. If it was my last day on earth, I'd spend it loving my family...and writing. This week has been excruciating for me. You just touched me in a way you can't imagine. Robin, please feel strong in yourself. You are an amazing and insightful woman. Every time I find myself featured here, I am so honored and amazed at how much you get it. FYI, bad, bad, week, but I had an anniversary Gilmore Girls today, which reminded me that there is ALWAYS good to be found. Hope to write about it soon on MP.

  20. For this "Thursday" ....post very nice, with "personalized video clips."

...personally, "The Power of Words", and "free hugs" is a beautiful example of civility and mutual help.

...but the last, "I know pick me, choose me, love me" ... I believe that it is mine preferred.

  21. Steven ~ I thought you would appreciate yours:) That first clip is amazing.

Gary ~ You make a good point. Slang is constantly added into the dictionary due to the immense usage. I fear for the day when abbreviations like OMG, IDK, and LOL are also included.

Liza ~ <<<<----This week has been excruciating for me. First, I am so sorry for that. I don't know why this time of year brings out all of the enormous highs and terrible lows, but it sure does seem to work that way. However, I am glad that this reached in and touched your heart. You are pretty amazing and insightful yourself. I always feel blessed to share in your learning journey. So, I look forward to your next posting on MP.

Dino ~ This is a weekly feature (at least, usually). I will just say that I try. I am so glad that you found some inspiration here today. I think that last one resonates because we all want to be picked, chosen, and loved. Of course we do.
