Drum roll please.

It is Thursday and that means it is HERE'S TO YOU day!  All in all, the best day of the week here on YOUR DAILY DOSE. Why? Because it's a celebration for YOU.

If you don't know what this HERE'S TO YOU stuff is about, let me explain.  This is a weekly event landing typically on Thursdays.  The best (or worst) part is that I am not going to explain why I chose "whatever" footage for each of you. If, you watch your footage and are scratching your head at the end, well that means I didn't do a very good job. However, all is not lost. You can email me at and ask me what I was thinking when I chose that particular piece of footage off of youtube and connected it to you. And then I will tell you. Then I will start sending up prayers that I haven't offended the crap out of whoever is on the receiving end of that Because, honestly, I will tell you right now... I admire all of you enormously so I really hope that doesn't happen.

Also, this is not an exclusive venture by any means. I hope that you will take the time to watch ALL of the footage because I don't pick bad footage:-) I also hope that you might check out the blog of the person I dedicated the footage to because they are pretty darn awesome. If you haven't figured this out yet... I pick the footage based on something that you've written or something that I've gleaned from your personality. Think on that for a while... If you are having trouble watching the entire video (meaning it is being cut off on one side), click on it a couple of times and it will take you straight over to youtube. If you click on the four squares at the bottom corner of the video, it will enlarge it to fill your screen. The escape key will bring it back to normal size. The back arrow will bring you back to my page.

Now, let's get this PARTY STARTED!!!!

This one is for everyone:

This one is for Alex J. Cavanaugh:

This one is for Mary at Food Floozie:

This one is for LD Masterson (start at the 5 minute mark for the relevant part):

This one is for L.G. Keltner at Writing Off The Edge:

This one is for Jasmine at A Yellow Rose of Texas:

  1. ELO - very cool.
I wonder where the idea for the Ferris Bueller clip originated...? Or maybe it has to do with the potential dance off between the Ninja and the Baldinator?

    1. Actually you can interpret that clip as more of the dance-off material (because that totally works!), but I was going for Location Location Location!

  2. That first video is sweet. The singer in the White Snake video's got hair as pretty as the car girl, lol. Those were the (hair) days. :)

  3. Alex is the charismatic Ferris Bueller of the blogging community! Speaking of location, I live a short distance from the scene where Cameron's parents' car came crashing down the ravine. It's good to know what tittynopes are!

  4. rosey ~ The 80s was the decade of Big Hair for sure!

Julie ~ I don't know about you, but I can't wait to use tittynopes in conversation.

Susan ~ Yes! Shake it up baby now!!!

  5. I forgot how much fun Ferris Bueller's Day Off is, and how cute Matthew Broderick was. So glad you dedicated that one to Alex. It's also a fun throwback to be reminded of ELO's Don't Bring Me Down.

    Happy Friday and weekend, Robin.

  6. What a great and fun way to hit on my topic! I love that the message of the lyrics is kind of serious and the vibe is so much fun!
Goes with my 70's theme party planning as well. Gotta love those sideburns and the hair. Dang! ;)

  7. Robyn ~ Who doesn't "get happy" when they watch that clip from Ferris Bueller????

Jasmine ~ I thought you would get a kick out of your dedication. It's another one that got you on a few levels:)

  8. That was awesome! Thanks for dedicating that to me. I feel special now. Tittynope is definitely my new favorite word!

  9. Tittynope! I've just added that to my repertoire. And as I type this, I'm listening to ELO. Have a good weekend Robin!

  10. L.G. ~ I love finding new words. I still haven't used this one yet. ::waiting::

Liza ~ Thank you, Liza. You too:)

  11. I liked "Twist and Shout." I'm surprised they didn't break the float!
