HERE'S TO YOU THURSDAY

SURPRISE. Drum roll please. It is once again HERE'S TO YOU THURSDAY. Yes, you read that correctly. HERE'S TO YOU THURSDAY is back on Thursday.  For those of you unfamiliar with the once again weekly HERE'S TO YOU THURSDAY posts, I bet you're wondering what is going on. Well, peeps, let me give you the skinny on this event...

This is a weekly event landing typically on Thursdays. The best (or worst) part is that I am not going to explain why I chose "whatever" footage for each of you. If, you watch your footage and are scratching your head at the end, well that means I didn't do a very good job. However, all is not lost. You can email me at rarichards68@gmail.com and ask me what I was thinking when I chose that particular piece of footage off of youtube and connected it to you. And then I will tell you. Then I will start sending up prayers that I haven't offended the crap out of whoever is on the receiving end of that email....lol. Because, honestly, I will tell you right now... I admire all of you enormously so I really hope that doesn't happen.

Also, this is not an exclusive venture by any means. I hope that you will take the time to watch ALL of the footage because I don't pick bad footage:-) I also hope that you might check out the blog of the person I dedicated the footage to because they are pretty darn awesome. If you haven't figured this out yet... I pick the footage based on something that you've written or something that I've gleaned from your personality. Think on that for a while... If you are having trouble watching the entire video (meaning it is being cut off on one side), click on it a couple of times and it will take you straight over to youtube. If you click on the four squares at the bottom corner of the video, it will enlarge it to fill your screen. The escape key will bring it back to normal size. The back arrow will bring you back to my page.

Now, let's get this PARTY STARTED!!!!

  1. Hi Robin,

Oh my, time zones, it's actually Friday and it almost three in the morning where I am. Which means I'm in the future and typing to the past, I guess. Which conveniently leads onto the video dedicated to the man who must be cloned, Alex :)

There you go. Be well, Robin. I'm outta' here....

  3. Hey Robin,
Thanks for Rand Paul reminder. What a guy. Love him so much but the Pauls are TOO honest. I think they are grooming Jeb Bush for the job. Oh save us.

Loved the Test Drive one. And that judge on the Peoples Court..... WOW..... don't you admire a hard-talking, sassy and Puuut Down that Wimp attitude?

  4. These are all great, Robin!

Alison Krauss... Jeff Gordon... my all-time favorites, The Tractors... and Joan of Arcadia.

It would be interesting to know the stories behind the selections for others...

I hope all is well in your World... :o)

  6. Oh, The Tractors. The best.

Look. I love Rand Paul, but his father is bozonkers. I wish the GOP would cut it out with these old guys. McCain, Romney. Give me Ted Cruz or Marco Rubio over Jeb Bush (and I like the Bush's as people, especially since we live down the road from Bush 41's Presidential Library) any day.

    1. Hi-I certainly do not want to start a political debate on Robin's blog, but being a Ron Paul fan, I'm surprised you like the son but are quick to dismiss the father.

I would encourage you to "End The Fed" by Ron Paul (or any one of his books) before you make a call on his mental state.

Sadly, he has never presented well when campaigning, but when he gives a prepared speech, people get it, and that's why he was so popular.

He really is brilliant, and he really does tell it like it is.

  8. Klahanie ~ Too funny. I guess it is always Back To The Future with you and me. Hahahaha.

Mark ~ I laughed so hard when I watched that commercial. Funny stuff.

Manzi ~ I hope that you are wrong about that, but you are probably not. I think that the young minds in the party are the way to go. If they continue to go with Old Style Thinking they will continue to get what they've got. It will be a repeat of the last election. Republican Establishment cannot win. And the country loses. ::sigh:: Yeah, I loved those vids, too. Man, that judge really was *something.*

Shoes ~ Glad I hit you in the heart so many times. The reason I post links is so that you can get the Story Behind The Story. I am glad you liked yours:)

Alex ~ Sorry yours wouldn't load!

Gini ~ Miss The Tractors! I actually like Ron Paul. I don't think all of his ideas on foreign policy were right. But his ideas on civil liberties were always about protecting our Bill of Rights and our freedoms. He never flipflopped. He never blew with the wind. You always knew that he would vote to protect the Constitution and our Rights. He stood for something. And he passed that on to Rand. I respect that. I also will take Cruz or Rubio over Jeb Bush. We need to get rid of the Republican Establishment put in there by Karl Rove. Gah.

Liza ~ You touch me right in the heart. That is a lovely compliment, Liza.

  10. I took a smug satisfaction in knowing that Alex couldn't get to play. Mine played in fits and starts with my lousy computer situation, but I got the gist of it. Yeah, my posts and comment sections are filled with opinions.

    Thanks for the tribute.

  11. Robin-

Hope I was not out of line, but I left a reply to Gini on Ron Paul.

His take on foreign policy is to bring us back to the original intent of the Constitution (not to get involved abroad)...and quite frankly, I think the world view of the US would be better if we discontinued our saber-rattling.

However, I would agree that if he would have taken office and tried to pull back all at once, it would have been a debacle.

I've read everything he's written, and he's a very intelligent man.

I have to believe he knows that-in fact, I thought I remembered him saying something to that effect in one of the debates.

Sadly, in the debates, he always seemed unprepared. That hurt him.

Oh well, we've got the leaders we've got...and while I do not have high hopes for the current administration, I hope they don't screw us up too badly...

Love the post, by the way. I had something to say about it before politics distracted me!

  12. Ah yes, we were thinking alike! That video of Jeff Gordon just got me. It was original and fun.
I used to line dance to The Tractors and other stuff. It was a lot of fun and kept me thin! That video is a lot like the party goin' on in my brain a lot of the time. ;)

  16. Tina ~ Part of what makes these weekly events SO MUCH FUN is the "community aspect" of it. The more people that you know, the more you will appreciate the videos each week. I am glad that you enjoyed your HERE'S TO YOU experience and I hope you come back:)

Arlee ~ I chose your video for so many reasons, but it did hark back to your Monday post on education. This kid got an educational smackdown that was enjoyable on so many levels.

Larry ~ I posted your opinion because you shared it respectfully. Gini is a very smart woman. I think that she might very well read something that Ron Paul has written and see for her own self what you are saying, so that she can make up her own mind. I think posting a respectful opinion is never wrong:)

Jasmine ~ Glad we are riding the same wave....

Mary ~ I will let you know about what would be MOST helpful. Seems like there is so much that I don't know. Thank you so much. XOXOXO

David ~ Thank you for dropping in. Thursdays are always a great day!!!

nutschell ~ That video cracks me up every time.
