HERE'S TO YOU THURSDAY

SURPRISE. Drum roll please. It is once again HERE'S TO YOU THURSDAY. Yes, you read that correctly. HERE'S TO YOU THURSDAY is back on Thursday.  For those of you unfamiliar with the once again weekly HERE'S TO YOU THURSDAY posts, I bet you're wondering what is going on. Well, peeps, let me give you the skinny on this event...

This is a weekly event landing typically on Thursdays. The best (or worst) part is that I am not going to explain why I chose "whatever" footage for each of you. If, you watch your footage and are scratching your head at the end, well that means I didn't do a very good job. However, all is not lost. You can email me at rarichards68@gmail.com and ask me what I was thinking when I chose that particular piece of footage off of youtube and connected it to you. And then I will tell you. Then I will start sending up prayers that I haven't offended the crap out of whoever is on the receiving end of that email....lol. Because, honestly, I will tell you right now... I admire all of you enormously so I really hope that doesn't happen.

Also, this is not an exclusive venture by any means. I hope that you will take the time to watch ALL of the footage because I don't pick bad footage:-) I also hope that you might check out the blog of the person I dedicated the footage to because they are pretty darn awesome. If you haven't figured this out yet... I pick the footage based on something that you've written or something that I've gleaned from your personality. Think on that for a while... If you are having trouble watching the entire video (meaning it is being cut off on one side), click on it a couple of times and it will take you straight over to youtube. If you click on the four squares at the bottom corner of the video, it will enlarge it to fill your screen. The escape key will bring it back to normal size. The back arrow will bring you back to my page.

Now, let's get this PARTY STARTED!!!!

  1. 'Mandolin Rain'... I never knew that was the name of that song.

After stringing that one up for the neighbor's daughter, I want one... they seem like fun.

    Elaine's dancing... LMBO!!!!

... and 'The Blue Grumpster?' You have to be wary of that fellow!!! (not seriously, he's a very nice guy)...

  2. I'm afraid to ask about the one for Pam at Empty Nest! :)

  3. In Elaine's defense, 'Earth, Wind & Fire' was more than just funky; they were a little... quirky.

Had the song been 'Pick Up The Pieces' by AWB instead, she might have gotten through it unnoticed.

    ...Then again ...maybe not.

    Poor Elaine.

  4. I.Don't.sell.crack. lmbo...my favorite moment on cops ever? There was this large black lady who caught a dude trying to steal her phone. She beat him with her phone and THEN tied him up with the phone cord and sat on him till police arrived.

  5. I love Elaine's dance. There will never be another show like Seinfeld. It even inspired me to make babka!

  6. Alex ~ I think so, too!

Shoes ~ Your experience with the mandolin did make me think of it. But the song is about everything that happens to us ~ even the bad stuff ~ and how we wouldn't change it because we always get something good out of everything. I kinda thought maybe that would resonate right now.

Mark ~ You don't have to ask. Just look through her postings from last week. hahahaha.

Stephen ~ All of those characters had their own "quirks." None were in any positions to throw stones. Lets see for George: Mandalay Industries, shrinkage, but I've always wanted to pretend to be an architect, Glamour?, and I can't date a woman who's got thinning hair. Jerry: the overdue library book, she eats her peas one at a time, I'm going to mock her where she works and see how she likes it, and the marathon. ::sigh:: Now I miss it.

Christine ~ I didn't see that but I have an excellent imagination.

Jean ~ For a show about nothing it was hilarious. No, I don't think there will ever be another one either. It was inspired. (It inspired you :) Or maybe it was just all the right talent in all the right places. IDK.

  7. Hi Robin,

Yes, it's me, Penny the Jack Russell dog and modest internet superstar! :) I think this is very clever in your ongoing dedication to tie in a video with a certain blogger.

Unfortunately, I think my human's computer must be crap. For by the time all those videos loaded, his darned computer froze up. So, being a clever dog, I had to switch off the computer and it's worked this time. Please bear with me while I try to actually watch them. Have a nice weekend.

    Pawsitive wishes,

    Penny :)

  8. Thanks, Robin!

Sadly, America is as infatuated with the current prez as they were with Billy C....but Billy C was sort of conservative (fiscally) and limited his mischief to chasing young female interns.

Oh well, this should be an interesting four years....

  9. Robin: As usual, they are all terrific. However, after watching the selection for Pam at Empty Nest, I would love it if you would e-mail me so I can give you a list of interesting hobbies. Or perhaps I should e-mail Pam!

  11. ZOMG! You don't even know just how much I freaking love that song. For real. So, I didn't catch this post because the hubs and I were trying to get my MIL here and get out of town for this wedding. And, we finally left and stopped in this super ghetto gas station in Bumfuck, Texas (which, if you must know, is a very large majority of area between here and the coast) which was under construction. I'm standing there with my little brother (who's 26 and like 6'4, ha!) and this exact song comes on the radio and I was literally singing it at the top of my lungs. Love, love, love.

Also. I may have been drinking tonight...?

  12. Klahanie ~ Glad you enjoy reading these. Eventually I will find the right thing for YOU. It just takes me a while to get a feel for someone.

DiscConnected ~ I think the infatuation might be wearing thin. At least for some...

JJ ~ I think you should email Pam:)

Judy ~ So happy:) And YOUR dancing has to be better so go for it!!!

Gini ~ Ah... my psychic powers at work again. I had a feeling that you really liked that song. Plus, it nicely tied in Green, Kids, Marriage, Love, and stuff they do in Texas - like spray painting on water towers. How could you not love it?
