HERE'S TO YOU THURSDAY



I've been so busy with Soundtrack posts I haven't even thought about trying to put together a HERE'S TO YOU post. Seriously. I've been posting 3 days a week, doing BoTB, and HERE'S TO YOU has been shuffled to the backburner. It's not that I don't get video ideas as I read your blogs, but I tend to just post them on your blog vs. doing the feature. And then I read something tonight that ABSOLUTELY DESERVED to be in a HERE'S TO YOU. That triggered me combing your posts and seeing which posts made me think "video." And this is what I came up with.

Those of you new to this blog: once upon a time this was a (more or less) weekly Thursday feature. And then I sidelined it in favor of my Soundtrack posts. By the way, I just thought of something tonight that should've gone in sophomore year and didn't. I'm gonna have to just insert it late. I apologize for messing up the chronology (again).

    That is a great scene from Better Off Dead. The whole film is a great scene.

    Awwww I love love love that video of Ed Sheeran. I think I may have even posted that song on my blog at some point. Thank you for thinking of me. Photograph was perfect with my post yesterday. I also am big fan of the Eninem song. Nate Russ is a wonderful song writer. He's the lead singer of band FUN. I love this post!!

    Skynyrd really made that song theirs...a good song to hear before I schlep across town.

    As much as I love "Better Off Dead," and that scene in particular...you may be guilty of a hate crime for linking to it!

    I am a newbie and I SO enjoyed the Here's To You, even though I wanted to see if the victim caught up to the blind man at the end. I always like to watch someone get their ass kicked.

      This is a fun feature. In order for it to happen I have to be psychically tuned AND caught up on my blog reading. In other words, it's a process!

    All of these clips are great but I'm partial to the Better Off Dead clip. Now I have an urge to put on my best mustard colored suit, slap a loudspeaker on my car, and find some jokers to race...

      One of my favorite scenes is when he rips the radio out of the car and throws it out the window. Classic.

    Now I really want to see Better Off Dead! I really liked 500 Days of Summer. The best scene was the dance sequence to "You Make My Dreams." Great Here's To You, Robin!

      I've seen BOD so many times I can practically say the lines with the characters. I was just thinking I want to watch 500 Days of Summer again;)

    Lots of Better Off Dead fans here, I see! It is one of my family's all-time favorites and we watch it without fail once a year on our ski trip.

    Lynyrd Skynyrd - I do love to travel but you wouldn't catch me in California or Georgia! Them some dangerous places, (smile). I hadn't heard this song before but I enoyed it. Thank you for the mention, Robin.

You can now add YouTube videos in your comments by copy/pasting the link. AND/OR you can insert an image by surrounding the code with this: [im]code[/im]. In the case of images, make sure that your code is short and simple ending with something like .jpg. If you want to use a pic from someplace like Google Images, click on the image, then click on View Image. That is the code you want!
