HERE'S TO YOU THURSDAY
It is Thursday and that means it is HERE'S TO YOU day! All in all, the best day of the week here on YOUR DAILY DOSE. Why? Because it's a celebration for YOU. (Note: this will be the last HERE'S TO YOU THURSDAY post until we make it through April and the A to Z.)
If you don't know what this HERE'S TO YOU stuff is about, let me explain. This is a weekly event landing typically on Thursdays. The best (or worst) part is that I am not going to explain why I chose "whatever" footage for each of you. If, you watch your footage and are scratching your head at the end, well that means I didn't do a very good job. However, all is not lost. You can email me at rarichards68@gmail.com and ask me what I was thinking when I chose that particular piece of footage off of youtube and connected it to you. And then I will tell you. Then I will start sending up prayers that I haven't offended the crap out of whoever is on the receiving end of that email....lol. Because, honestly, I will tell you right now... I admire all of you enormously so I really hope that doesn't happen.
Also, this is not an exclusive venture by any means. I hope that you will take the time to watch ALL of the footage because I don't pick bad footage:-) I also hope that you might check out the blog of the person I dedicated the footage to because they are pretty darn awesome. If you haven't figured this out yet... I pick the footage based on something that you've written or something that I've gleaned from your personality. Think on that for a while... If you are having trouble watching the entire video (meaning it is being cut off on one side), click on it a couple of times and it will take you straight over to youtube. If you click on the four squares at the bottom corner of the video, it will enlarge it to fill your screen. The escape key will bring it back to normal size. The back arrow will bring you back to my page.
Now, let's get this PARTY STARTED!!!!
This one is for everyone:
This one is for JJ The Disconnected Writer:
This one is for Gossip Girl at ~~*~~Whatever~~*~~:

Awe thanks so much for dedicating such a wonderful song to me. It really did make me feel better.
ReplyDeleteI didn't hear what the patient's response was to Jack Nicholson's saying "You're shitting me," but I loved the snippet. It's awesome.
ReplyDeleteBe well, Robin.

You are devious! I did not listen to my dedication. I didn't have to. Now I have that "We Will Rock You" earworm boring itself into my brain. I guess that was your revenge against my songs.
ReplyDeleteThe ObamaCare Ads were a hoot.

Hi Robin,
ReplyDeleteI can hardly wait to move and finally get a new computer. Anyway, have you missed me? I struggle to keep up. Probably good I switched off comments on my latest post. Maybe I can catch up a bit.
Your videos, as per usual, capture the essence of those mentioned. However, I have a hunch that Arlee's favourite band is "ABC" There big hit was "Look of Love."
Great post! Thanks for sharing! :)
Gary :)
Always appreciate hearing a little Queen. Oh, but how long ago that was!
ReplyDeleteThat dog is very intelligent, love it! And also all those pictures about the beach. I wish I were there. A few days would be great. Thanks for thinking on me. First time I heard that song but it's accurate, as you always are. Dragon hugs to you!
ReplyDeleteMisha ~ Well, then it did the job!
ReplyDeleteRobyn ~ That is a funny and sad movie.
Arlee ~ Mostly I wanted to let you know that I read your response to my comment. But, you're welcome for that earworm!
StMc ~ Yeah, I know;)
Gary ~ I am always happy when you stop by... particularly given the fact that you have so much trouble with the videos.
L.G. ~ Yep. The Good Ole Days.
Al ~ I figured that wasn't your sort of music, but it sure did nail the post. Hugs back at ya!
I loved The Bucket List, and that was a great scene from the movie!

ReplyDeleteThe scene from The Bucket List was my favorite!

OMGosh Love all of the videos here! Thanks for Outta Here and girl you got that right! Loved it and thank you
ReplyDeleteLC ~ It is one of my favorite movies. I am beginning to realize that I have LOTS of favorites...
ReplyDeleteJulie ~ It is a good one!
GG ~ I thought that might hit your sweet spot. I hope things are better soon!
I love the top story about the double positive. That student had wit!
ReplyDeleteThese were fantastic. Firstly, great clip from the Bucket List. I'm sad to say I've never seen that one. I may have to remedy that, judging from all the comments about it. FYI: I'm a coffee fiend... and you could not pay me enough to drink brewed civet crap.
ReplyDeleteAlso, that Obamacare Ad was both hilarious and sad. It's just wonderful thinking of all the money I've paid for any form of insurance over my lifetime, while never having been in the hospital, never having been in any sort of car accident, and only having to see the doctor once in the last 10 years.,.
Yet another veritable feast of videos. (You must spend an awful lot of time thinking and browsing to come up with them.) I enjoyed all of 'em, (LOVE "The Bucket List") but the first one made me laugh out loud. I liked it so much, I had to share it on Facebook. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteSherry ~ Yeah right!
ReplyDeleteABFTS ~ The Bucket List is a great movie. And I agree about Kopi Luwak... not enough money in the world.
Susan ~ That is awesome. I found that one on FB!
Good one on the double positives making a negative.
ReplyDeleteAnd LOL on the dog, ahahahaha. For shame on him! :)
Love the video shout-outs, what a fun concept! Though that sandwich the dog so masterfully stole has made me super hungry... =)
ReplyDeleteThose OB care vids are funny. I think it was Jon Stewart who had a segment on penis pumps and I almost fell off my chair laughing. Clever dog but in my house, I think it's the cat that is the smart one.
ReplyDeleteGood Picks.
AAAAH! One of my most-treasured things-I-hate-about-people (cat poop coffee) on one of my most-treasured movies-I-can't-stand. You are welcome to like it if you want, but I find everything about "The Bucket List" to be annoying. Then again, I find everything about EVERYTHING to be annoying.
ReplyDeleteThe more important thing? Thanks for mentioning me, and I hope the headache is better. Also, all week long I was listening to Queen, so I kind of figured Arlee's was secretly about me.
(Actually, I kind of figure everything is secretly about me. And then I find it all annoying.)
Feel better!
("Yeah Right" is now my saying for the day.)
