HERE'S TO YOU THURSDAY

SURPRISE. Drum roll please. It is once again HERE'S TO YOU THURSDAY. Yes, you read that correctly. HERE'S TO YOU THURSDAY is back on Thursday.  For those of you unfamiliar with the once again weekly HERE'S TO YOU THURSDAY posts, I bet you're wondering what is going on. Well, peeps, let me give you the skinny on this event...

This is a weekly event landing typically on Thursdays. The best (or worst) part is that I am not going to explain why I chose "whatever" footage for each of you. If, you watch your footage and are scratching your head at the end, well that means I didn't do a very good job. However, all is not lost. You can email me at rarichards68@gmail.com and ask me what I was thinking when I chose that particular piece of footage off of youtube and connected it to you. And then I will tell you. Then I will start sending up prayers that I haven't offended the crap out of whoever is on the receiving end of that email....lol. Because, honestly, I will tell you right now... I admire all of you enormously so I really hope that doesn't happen.

Also, this is not an exclusive venture by any means. I hope that you will take the time to watch ALL of the footage because I don't pick bad footage:-) I also hope that you might check out the blog of the person I dedicated the footage to because they are pretty darn awesome. If you haven't figured this out yet... I pick the footage based on something that you've written or something that I've gleaned from your personality. Think on that for a while... If you are having trouble watching the entire video (meaning it is being cut off on one side), click on it a couple of times and it will take you straight over to youtube. If you click on the four squares at the bottom corner of the video, it will enlarge it to fill your screen. The escape key will bring it back to normal size. The back arrow will bring you back to my page.

Now, let's get this PARTY STARTED!!!!

  3. Hey Robin, Thanks for the song. Yee Haw Cute little butts in those jeans, Both my grandson and my granddaughter have bands here in Montana. Granddaughter's is "Little Jane and the Pistol Whips." I don't know about that name now, with all the gun talk.
Headed for the week end. Have fun.
    Love and peace.

    1. You are welcome Manzi. I wouldn't worry about the band name. So long as it entertainment connected... the rules don't apply. Love and peace to you!

  4. I recently acquired all of the season DVD sets of 'ALL IN THE FAMILY' that I've wanted for some time now (Seasons 1-8), and I'm watching my way through them in chronological order (currently in the middle of Season 2).

Archie Bunker was TV's all-time greatest character. I have spoken.

    1. I think that what everyone loved about Archie was that he was so politically incorrect.

Just so you know, I appreciate your comments. I didn't post your last one since you deleted the former, but I did read it. Thank you...

    2. Thanks for your comment about my comments.

There are the weak-kneed followers; and there are the outspoken, politically-incorrect rebels; and then there is ...something else. I think you can file me under 'Something Else'.

      >> . . . all comments are welcome

All comments... but those that are too personal and too intense and too... "something else"?

      I'm joking! I'm joking! ...Uh ...I'm drunk?

Don't worry, Robin - it's not you; it's me. But you'll get used to me... or you'll "block" me. ...It's always one of those two things. Ha!

    4. Ha-Ha! Thank you. (SOMEONE had to make that call.)

OK... now I'm going to tell you something very funny and very TRUE:

Back in my "real" drinking days (age 21 to 25 or 26 to 4) my drinking buddy "POOH" was so aware of his drinking problem that there were literally times when he'd say to bartenders: "CUT ME OFF! CUT ME OFF!"

Robin, "if you don't think that's funny, you'd better not go to college."

      'East Of Eden']

And, for the record, I did not drink one drop of alcohol tonight.

What I drank was a pint of Jim Beam.

Robin... thanks for putting up with me. (Aren't you glad you don't LIVE with me?! ...I wish I didn't.)

    1. You are most welcome. If you haven't watched 500 Days of Summer, think about adding it to your movie list. I think it might speak to where you are right now...

  6. Robin-

    I'm still laughing!

Unlike Mr. McCarthy, it's been a couple of decades since I've seen "All In The Family," and it still holds up....

Although I may have just been "masticated..."

Archie Bunker and Emily Latella-my two favorite TV political spokespersons!

    1. Funny how some messages are "ageless." Even though Archie's delivery is questionable, the ultimate message does indeed "hold up" when you think about it. The thing that has prevented terrorist activity in the air most recently is passenger intervention. Let's all stop and think about that one and say it out loud: Passenger intervention.

Please no details on your "mastication." I don't want to have change my site to an Adult Content for the A to Z Challenge... I walk a fine line as it is!!!

  7. You made me remember that I once had an Archie Bunker Joey doll that I got from a neighbors garage sale. I also remembered that a couple of my little friends were pretty freaked out that he was anatomically correct. And then I remembered that I ended up painting his toenails with nail polish. I must have been a little bit messed up, even back then!
But seriously, it was cool to see the good ol' Archie Bunker again. I have a good friend who is just now realizing the cost of being just about the only one in her family that has any moral compass left. It's tough. I've welcomed her to my world!

I am so glad to hear that you are slowly but surely finding people with whom you can relate and welcoming them into your life. That is awesome!!!

  10. Thanks for the dedication. Took me awhile but I'm here. I think I may need to divorce myself from my computer since it's been giving me a real hassle this week.

Funny stuff on the divorce clip. Sometimes making light of a serious issue can get the point across very well. Enjoyed the gun control clip too. Stephen McCarthy once said that in my old juggling promo photo that I looked like Meathead. Watching the clip I realize that I did kind of bear a resemblance.

    Good stuff.

    1. I chose that clip because it offers yet another perspective on what you were talking about... and shows where we are going (if not where we have arrived) as a society on divorce. There is a grain of truth in there somewhere...

Anyway, glad you found something to like this week!!!
