HERE'S TO YOU THURSDAY

Before I get down to the trick or treat dedications, I want to apologize for my sporadic visiting this week.  My computer is sick and I am having to use my mom's and well... that just hasn't been the easiest.  Unfortunately, that reading problem also made today's post a bit of a scramble.  It all came out in the end, but I wasn't sure until about five minutes ago.  Yeah, like that.

I also want to let you know that I posted my Battle Of The Bands bout early.  You can click on it here to go to that post and cast your vote for your favorite.  This week YOU get to be the owner of Motown records.   So, get on over there and vote!!!  Now, let's get down to business...

If you don't know what I am blabbering about, it is Thursday.  And that means another post dedicated to all of you and the excellent blogging you have done this week.  So, sit back and enjoy.  It's HERE'S TO YOU DAY!!!

This is a weekly event landing typically on Thursdays.  The best (or worst) part is that I am not going to explain why I chose "whatever" footage for each of you. If, you watch your footage and are scratching your head at the end, well that means I didn't do a very good job. However, all is not lost. You can email me at rarichards68@gmail.com and ask me what I was thinking when I chose that particular piece of footage off of youtube and connected it to you. And then I will tell you. Then I will start sending up prayers that I haven't offended the crap out of whoever is on the receiving end of that email....lol. Because, honestly, I will tell you right now... I admire all of you enormously so I really hope that doesn't happen.

Also, this is not an exclusive venture by any means. I hope that you will take the time to watch ALL of the footage because I don't pick bad footage:-) I also hope that you might check out the blog of the person I dedicated the footage to because they are pretty darn awesome. If you haven't figured this out yet... I pick the footage based on something that you've written or something that I've gleaned from your personality. Think on that for a while... If you are having trouble watching the entire video (meaning it is being cut off on one side), click on it a couple of times and it will take you straight over to youtube. If you click on the four squares at the bottom corner of the video, it will enlarge it to fill your screen. The escape key will bring it back to normal size. The back arrow will bring you back to my page.

Now, let's get this PARTY STARTED!!!!

  4. Hahaha, I'm laughing at Alex's dedication. It's such a great version, I thought it was real at first. Hysterical. But poor Gumby. These are really fun, Robin.

    Have a very Happy Halloween.

  10. JJ ~ Did you see his reply to you? He liked it! I admire those folks with the creativity to think up things like coffee shop.

Shoes ~ So glad you liked it!!! You are special to us!

Alex ~ I thought you would get a kick out of that one:P

    LG ~ Steal away!!!

Robyn ~ I love that Gumby clip. It is one of the few clips I remember from when it was on the show.

Liza ~ A Thursday post on Thursday. What will be next?

Carol ~ I am already sooo tired of not having my computer. I have called a Mobile Fix It Service every day. Not returning my calls:(

Memphis Steve ~ Bad lip reading is always fun!

Pk ~ That would be beyond fun. What a great memory those folks have!!!

    Kelley Lynn ~ Every Thursday:)

  11. Awww, thanks for including the quote I used in my blog. Now if only my book would become even a small fraction as popular as that movie.

  12. Like Gumby was one of my heroes when I was in college. I used to carry a miniature Gumby figure in my wallet. Very appropriate.
That telekinesis one was actually kind of scary.

  13. That Carrie movie trailer explains a lot about how movie special effects work. I guess those people know how they'd react if they ever found themselves in a horror movie situation irl!
Your message for 'Shoes' is tough one to remember and yet we all need it.
I have absolutely zero interest in 'Hunger Games' and still I found that video utterly hi-lar-i-ous!
    Beards are gross, period.
Haven't we all made the mistake of wearing a costume that is way to hard to function in?!
Gosh, Madonna was so covered up in that video, wasn't she?
Ok, I guess I need some context for that last one!

  14. The coffee shop prank is so fantastic. I think I caught it first on Facebook, of course.

And I almost choked on a candy corn from the bad lip reading video!!!

  15. The video for Arlee is a stitch. Is this on your Mom's computer. It works like a whizz for me. Much faster than on yours. I'm voting for this computer.

  16. Greetings human, Robin,

My human is struggling to keep up with comments. Thus and lucky you, I've had to take over. We have recently had the delight of interacting with L.G. Smith. Which mean, we most certainly understand that beardy time theme video. My human once had a bit of a beard. Trouble is, it made him seem even more suspicious looking than normal.

A belated Happy Howloween and a pawsitive weekend to you with an extra hour.

  17. Okay, now you really caught me. I can't, for the life of my dwarves, figure out how the dragon relates to Material Girl. But wait.... Aaaah, my dwarves understood it first than me, hahahaha. You should have addressed it to them! :D

  18. These were great! Happy weekend!

  19. Susan ~ Yeah, that would be the dragon's roar!

Arlee ~ I love it when a Thursday works like that:)

Jasmine ~ The message in Anyway is wonderful, but difficult to put into practice. But...so necessary. Bad Lip Reading vids are always funny. I read The Hunger Games trilogy and liked it. But I am reading a lot of YA right now. Who doesn't love Gumby???

Jay ~ Glad you didn't choke on your candy corn. That is NOT the response I want from this feature!

Manzi ~ Who would have thought that uploading a post from mom's computer would make a difference. Yep... mine is still sick and I am becoming very annoyed with the Computer Fix-It People.

Gary ~ This human is also struggling since I am on a borrowed computer and I have to work around someone else. So, I will be playing catch up...

Al ~ I should have dedicated that one to the dwarves!!!

Yvonne ~ Happy weekend to you, too!

  20. As always I enjoyed them all! My favorites were the takeoff on Carrie, all about beards, and especially Gumby! It's amazing how you find such great footage.
