HERE'S TO YOU THURSDAY

Hello!  It's me again.  In case the week has completely gotten away from you... today is Thursday.  And you KNOW what that means.  You don't?  It's HERE TO YOU THURSDAY!!!!  ::horns blow raucously::

This is a weekly event landing typically on Thursdays.  The best (or worst) part is that I am not going to explain why I chose "whatever" footage for each of you. If, you watch your footage and are scratching your head at the end, well that means I didn't do a very good job. However, all is not lost. You can email me at rarichards68@gmail.com and ask me what I was thinking when I chose that particular piece of footage off of youtube and connected it to you. And then I will tell you. Then I will start sending up prayers that I haven't offended the crap out of whoever is on the receiving end of that email....lol. Because, honestly, I will tell you right now... I admire all of you enormously so I really hope that doesn't happen.

Also, this is not an exclusive venture by any means. I hope that you will take the time to watch ALL of the footage because I don't pick bad footage:-) I also hope that you might check out the blog of the person I dedicated the footage to because they are pretty darn awesome. If you haven't figured this out yet... I pick the footage based on something that you've written or something that I've gleaned from your personality. Think on that for a while... If you are having trouble watching the entire video (meaning it is being cut off on one side), click on it a couple of times and it will take you straight over to youtube. If you click on the four squares at the bottom corner of the video, it will enlarge it to fill your screen. The escape key will bring it back to normal size. The back arrow will bring you back to my page.

Now, let's get this PARTY STARTED!!!!

That one for DiscConnected at BACK IN THE USSR was very funny! I wouldn't have believed anyone writing for TV these days could come up with something as witty as that.

  2. Loved these! I didn't read all the related posts, but the one for Empty Nest Insider is PERFECT!

  3. Good picks. LMAO at the old man flirting with the young girls. So typical.
The one at the auction was a hoot too.
The only reason I know about Castle is because it follows DWTS. He's not really good looking but has ex appeal.
When we lived in Florida it was Melbourne and jump on a cruise ship a lot. One was all country and Alison Krauss was just at the beginning of her career. It was fun. The entertainers would spend the days with the passengers but I'd gamble all night with Charlie Pride's wife. Have you and your Mom ever gone on any of those cruises? It's like a moving Vegas.

  4. Thanks, Robin!

I have never watched Castle (although I like Nathan Fillon from Firefly). That scene cracked me up!

    I realized while typing this-his character is a writer, right-not a cop?

It is good to see that some television writers are aware of grammar rules!

  6. You go to so much trouble to make people feel loved. Happy Thursday.

  7. Stephen ~ I love Castle. One of my favorite shows. There are still a few good ones out there....

Carol ~ I can't wait until she sees it!

Manzie ~ I would love to go on one of those cruise ships, but I don't think it is a good idea given that I only have 30% function (not related to hearing) in both ears. I have learned to compensate fairly well over the last several years, but being on a ship might screw me up pretty badly. Just not worth the risk... I've loved Nathan Fillion ever since Firefly;)

LC ~ Yes, his character writes murder mysteries. He started working with the NYPD in the Pilot when someone started killing people like in his books. It was his first consulting job with them... and then he met Beckett and decided he would write his next main character based on her. Got permission from the mayor to tag along on all of her cases. That first season was AWESOME. He drove her crazy. He even got his own bullet proof vest with WRITER on it. LOLOLOL. Funny, funny show.

    Alex ~ I hope so!

Susan ~ It is often a very funny thing. Many a Wednesday rolls around and I got NADA. And then I do a little bit of reading back and it all comes together. Of course, I like it best when I find material all during the week and Thursday just "happens." Happy Thursday right back at ya.

  8. I like the very first one, the one for everyone. And that old man in the last one, he had it going on. Hey, at least he had his hair and all his teeth, right? :-)

  10. The old guy trying to pick up girls gave me a laugh. Well, at least he has hair.

  17. Oh Robin I don't know whether to laugh or cry- the post for me is SO appropriate. And I love Allison Krauss and yet have never heard that song before. How does that happen?! And then the universe just hands it to you on a silver platter just when you need it most! Amazing!
That first one reminds me of a client I have that once asked me to carry her Dale Chihuly piece up the stairs in hopes that I would drop it because it was insured and she was just so darn tired of worrying about it. I did NOT drop it!
Welcome Back Kotter is one of those things that can instantly bond a group- love it!
Is it just me or does that old flirty guy look a lot like Joe Biden?!

    1. That was never a big hit for her. Only diehard fans know it. So, that's how that happens. And this blog works in mysterious ways.... you should know that by now;)

I didn't notice the Biden resemblance until you said something. LMAO.
