HERE'S TO YOU THURSDAY

It is that day again. What day is that you ask? How can you have forgotten? Drum roll please. It is HERE'S TO YOU THURSDAY, of course! The very best day of the blogging week. It is the precursor to the best day of the work week.

To recap for any newbies to this event: The best (or worst) part is that I am not going to explain why I chose "whatever" footage for each of you. If, you watch your footage and are scratching your head at the end, well that means I didn't do a very good job. However, all is not lost. You can email me at rarichards68@gmail.com and ask me what I was thinking when I chose that particular piece of footage off of youtube and connected it to you. And then I will tell you. Then I will start sending up prayers that I haven't offended the crap out of whoever is on the receiving end of that email....lol. Because, honestly, I will tell you right now... I admire all of you enormously so I really hope that doesn't happen.

Also, this is not an exclusive venture by any means. I hope that you will take the time to watch ALL of the footage because I don't pick bad footage:-) I also hope that you might check out the blog of the person I dedicated the footage to because they are pretty darn awesome. If you haven't figured this out yet... I pick the footage based on something that you've written or something that I've gleaned from your personality. Think on that for a while... If you are having trouble watching the entire video (meaning it is being cut off on one side), click on it a couple of times and it will take you straight over to youtube. If you click on the four squares at the bottom corner of the video, it will enlarge it to fill your screen. The escape key will bring it back to normal size. The back arrow will bring you back to my page. Of course, you will have to deal with this all over again: Lastly, don't forget to turn off my music player at the bottom of the page. Sorry for the inconvenience.

  2. LMAO!!!

This is GREAT!!!! God, Did I put some miles on the Shoes-Mobile last week!!!

What a great video... references to Mississippi... I loved some of Jerry Reed's songs... he passed here not long ago... and Burt Reynolds and Sally Fields in the Firebird... not long ago, Burt Reynolds said the biggest mistake he made in his life was letting Sally Fields get away from him...

It's great to know that some people realize when they've missed a good thing!!

    Great job, Robin!!! :o)

  4. This was all done in the middle of the night last night while I was not sleeping and migraining. I could barely think. It was the ONLY song I could think of that addressed your "issue" from the blog. And the only reason I thought of it was because after I got divorced my ex-husband was still trying to run my life. He would show up at the karaoke bar where I hung out (to be fair we both hung out there when we were married and it was a pissing contest about who was going to quit going and we were both pretty adamant about sticking). The only difference was that I didn't care who he saw or what he was doing. He was all up in my business. So... I sang this song one night. He came up to me right after and asked if it was directed at him. I think I just looked at him. I might have said something like, "If the shoe fits." But I probably just looked at him. He then got mad and stalked off. Yeah, the bad old days. Anyway, that was why I could even think of it. So, you get what you get...lol.

  8. lol, good for you for singing the song! I have often fantasized about singing a song to ex's but I can not sing and in the fantasy I am actually an amateur local musician but will you get the idea.

  9. Oh, that is priceless!!! I always like to find myself included in the group on Thursdays (or, ahem, Saturdays). That little clip had so much to offer that one wonders whether you've found your way to Michigan to peer in my windows, or whether those hideous migraines are at least offering the benefit of psychic abilities! How ever did you know 2 days ago that last night I actually had a conversation with someone about those green smoothies, too, besides all the rest of it being a part of my daily life???

  13. I never saw this - too freakin' funny! I bet this was when life was ca-razy at work and when I got home I didn't read any blogs until my reader was so full I finally had to mark them all read because the amount was causing some major anxiety. Thank you ma'am - I'm honored to have my own little video homage. Now if you'll excuse me I'm off to write the next in the Crazy Rusty Road Trip series.
