HERE'S TO YOU THURSDAY
It is that day again. What day is that you ask? How can you have forgotten? Drum roll please. It is HERE'S TO YOU THURSDAY, of course! The very best day of the blogging week. It is the precursor to the best day of the work week.
I notice that I actually have some newbies for this event. How exciting! Well, here is what is going down. This is a weekly event. The best (or worst) part is that I am not going to explain why I chose "whatever" footage for each of you. If, you watch your footage and are scratching your head at the end, well that means I didn't do a very good job. However, all is not lost. You can email me at rarichards68@gmail.com and ask me what I was thinking when I chose that particular piece of footage off of youtube and connected it to you. And then I will tell you. Then I will start sending up prayers that I haven't offended the crap out of whoever is on the receiving end of that email....lol. Because, honestly, I will tell you right now... I admire all of you enormously so I really hope that doesn't happen.
Also, this is not an exclusive venture by any means. I hope that you will take the time to watch ALL of the footage because I don't pick bad footage:-) I also hope that you might check out the blog of the person I dedicated the footage to because they are pretty darn awesome. If you haven't figured this out yet... I pick the footage based on something that you've written or something that I've gleaned from your personality. Think on that for a while... If you are having trouble watching the entire video (meaning it is being cut off on one side), click on it a couple of times and it will take you straight over to youtube. If you click on the four squares at the bottom corner of the video, it will enlarge it to fill your screen. The escape key will bring it back to normal size. The back arrow will bring you back to my page. Of course, you will have to deal with this all over again: Lastly, don't forget to turn off my music player at the bottom of the page. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Robin, you are making me more and more curious about Grey's Anatomy every time you show a clip! No cool... ;)
ReplyDeleteAnd I always love your Joan of Arcadia clips - that song was gorgeous!
You ROCK! That's all I got! Seriously...no words.
ReplyDeleteAs always, you never seem to disappoint! Thanks for the video...now hop on over to http://abitofsouthernstyle.wordpress.com/2010/08/26/a-little-game-of-tag/ You've been Tagged!!
ReplyDelete@Phoenix ~ I keep telling you that if we lived closer, I would hogtie you and we would this series starting at Season One and we wouldn't stop until we were caught up. Of course, there would be all this discussion on where this series fell down and when it got back. It is sort of like life and I love that about it. My only regret is the loss of some really great talent during the falling down. However, it also mimics life in that we sometimes lose some really great things when we fall down. The most important thing is to get back up. Kind of working on that right now myself. Thanks for the "other" comment, btw. It all feels like it's spinning a bit out of control.
ReplyDelete@Carol ~ Glad you like Thursdays. I hope that it is something that you begin to look forward to and make sure to drop in on. In a perfect world, I would not have to tell people that they have footage waiting for them. I have some wonderful followers who never need the reminder...
@Mitzi ~ This wa actually in response to your blog on masks and how we see people the way we want, or maybe as much as they allow. This is the most recent season of Greys (6) and this is an original character from the series, meaning he was there from day one. They are just now getting an inkling of what this guy has been through to get where he is. Masks. We wear them for lots of reason.
Hey Robin! I wanted to get back to you about Jewels. I text her every so often but am trying not to bother her too much. As of a few days ago she was headed home from the hospital with no answers. I know she is frustrated the doctors can't fix whatever is going on and really sad she can't talk to Johnny. She hasn't had the energy to get online but I know when she does she would love the support and kind words from everyone. Yes, she is like the nicest person alive. I keep trying to make her mean but she won't fall for it! ;)
ReplyDeletethe hard times make us. just don't quit.
ReplyDeleteLOLOLOL That is hilarious!!!!! That clip was PERFECT!!! This is so funny, this matching!!!
ReplyDeleteYou Rock!!
Thank you so much for the laugh...

Beautiful Robin! Hello! How did you know that I love REM! Yeah, and this song, too!
ReplyDeleteYes, it fits! Wish I lived closer so that I could "hog-tie YOU", throw your television out the window and take you moon watching with me!
@Chris ~ Thank you. You have no idea how much I want to right now.
ReplyDelete@Shoes ~ I have been saving that one for a long time. It was the best episode of Seinfeld. Ever.
@ Purple Cow ~ If you aren't careful you will get something every week just so that you will know what it's like to not get something come January 11. On a different note, I wish you lived closer, too.
@That One Girl ~ Thank you. I didn't mean to overlook you. I will keep Juliana in prayers. Please let me know if you hear anything. I feel so bad that she can't see Johnny.
ReplyDeleteRobin, I am blown away girl! You are so thoughtful with these and you were spot on with the one you chose for me. Thank you so much for thinking of me and sharing this song. I had never heard it before but I think it's the song of the day. I'm hopping over to Itunes and loading it on my pod now. Love it!!
ReplyDeleteHiya Robin...I saw this but I read it on my iphone and didn't comment back...sorry...I appreciate the little vote that you enjoy my blog. So without further delay i raise my glass and salute` you :-)
ReplyDeleteAh ... Robin, just saw this. What a beautiful song ... very calming ... and definitely exactly how I felt when I was surrounded by butterflies the other day! I'm pretty sure God was right there dancing with the butterflies and yes, She is lovely! :)
