Okay, folks, I know that you are beginning to wonder if this HERE'S TO YOU business just went random. It has not. I could have put it together late yesterday, so that it still fell on Thursday, but I really wanted to leave my Battle of the Bands as the most recent post for as long as possible. So, if you like to vote on Battle of the Bands, go one post back and there it will be. But today, HERE IS TO YOU!

If you don't know what this HERE'S TO YOU stuff is about, let me explain.  This used to be a weekly event landing typically on Thursdays.  When I read your blogs or you say something in the comments that sparks my imagination (or I hear something and I think of you), chances are good I will click over to YouTube to find footage for you. In the old days you wouldn't have to reach back in your memory bank farther than one week. Now... all bets are off. It could be several weeks ago.

The best (or worst) part is that I am not going to explain why I chose "whatever" footage for each of you. If, you watch your footage and are scratching your head at the end, well that means I didn't do a very good job. However, all is not lost. You can email me at and ask me what I was thinking when I chose that particular piece of footage off of YouTube and connected it to you. And then I will tell you. Then I will start sending up prayers that I haven't offended the crap out of whoever is on the receiving end of that Because, honestly, I will tell you right now... I admire all of you enormously so I really hope that doesn't happen.

Also, this is not an exclusive venture by any means. I hope that you will take the time to watch ALL of the footage because I don't pick bad footage:-) I also hope that you might check out the blog of the person I dedicated the footage to because they are pretty darn awesome. If you haven't figured this out yet... I pick the footage based on something that you've written or something that I've gleaned from your personality. Think on that for a while... If you are having trouble watching the entire video (meaning it is being cut off on one side), click on it a couple of times and it will take you straight over to youtube. If you click on the four squares at the bottom corner of the video, it will enlarge it to fill your screen. The escape key will bring it back to normal size. The back arrow will bring you back to my page.

  1. That's a funny Family Fued video. :)

    Have a great weekend!

  2. Even though she's currently a nutball (especially if you follow her on Twitter), that's one of my favorite Cher songs.

    Great pics!

  3. Thanks, GIRL WONDER!
Yep, I'm back in business. (But those images of playing cards and roulette wheels reminded me that The Golden Gate Casino in downtown Vegas STILL has my damn money!)

That SmartPhone Auto-Correct collection... the one about the "fags and Jews" had me HOWLING! (Cut! Take Six.)

And regarding 'The Family Feud' video...
    ...OK, I stand corrected.

    ~ D-FensDogg
    'Loyal American Underground'

  4. Rosey ~ I have watched it several times now and I still laugh.

Mark ~ I used to love Cher when I was a kid. Now... I am so glad I don't follow her Twitter. Everything she says comes out Insane.

StMc ~ Wasn't that perfect? Great song with even better images!!! I can't watch that Autocorrect Fail video without laughing so hard that it becomes painful. I didn't post that Family Feud video in response to your comment, but... ok! I mean, 100 married men can't be wrong:)

  5. Love that saying at the top of this post-if more people would embrace that, the world would be a happier place.

And I love that Seinfeld episode-in fact I saw the end of it (with that scene) earlier in the week.

But what had me in stitches was the autocorrect-that has happened to me more than once...

  6. Ok, I didn't get stomach cramps, but my eyes teared so much they stung, as I HOWLED about those auto-corrects. Too funny and thanks for the laugh.

  7. I always check anything I type on my phone TWICE because of stupid auto correct. It will insert the oddest things sometimes. And I'd turn it off, but I really don't know how to spell some stuff. :P

  8. LC ~ I know. Happiness is a choice and autocorrect can send some wicked text messages. Soooo funny.

Liza ~ I can't even decide which one is my favorite. They just get funnier as you continue.

    Alex ~ :)

L.G. ~ I just got an IPhone and try to remember to check my texts before I send them. So far, so good. But, let's face it, I am terrible at proofing and it's only been a little over a week. I sense something coming...

  9. Very, very humorous! I needed that this week.

  10. So first I watched the Cher clip then I watched several other Cher clips that popped up when that one ended. Then I had to watch the Dennis clip to verify that's Ron Howard sitting next to Dennis (I'm almost certain it is). No wonder it takes me so long to visit everyone's blog. *grin* Thanks for including me.

  11. Load, load, load......ah, finally........I will get a new computer. One that might actually load up your site. So, this means, I have to kinda' guess. I do believe the comma, comma, comma one, is assuredly spot on. A bit of comma, comma, comma comedian.

    Have a lovely weekend, Robin.

    Gary :)

  12. The auto- correct was very clever, and so true! Another classic scene from Seinfeld!

  13. My computer took forever to bring up your post today. Sign of outdatedness! Ouch. I'm working on being grateful and appreciating all that I have. I'm so much easier to live with when I pull that off. Here's to those commas.

  14. Ooh, nice to see this! We always pop in over here on Thursday, and when we didn't see anything, we thought you weren't gonna do it, so thanks for the reminder on our side of the fence.

I never really used to be a fan of Family Feud but now that Steve Harvey's taken over and he's willing to get a little risque (for daytime TV, anyway) he's made FF a ton of fun. That clip was awesome.

Also, great clip for us. I know it's not meant to be funny, but I did have to giggle when the doctor said, "He shot himself with a bazooka?"

The good lord has a sense of humor, because 2 days after this was posted, I got (and still have) a very serious ache in my right side, ala my appendix wanting to burst, and I don't want to go to the doctor. If anything, because the hospital might explode. :)

  15. Lovely to see all the dedications. I'm sure they're as delighted as I was when you did me. Have a wonderful weekend! :)

  16. OMG that was hilarious. Thanks for the mention, Robin:)

  17. JJ ~ So happy to tickle your funny bone.

LD ~ Yes, that was a very young Ron Howard. Glad you liked your song!

    Gary ~ I can't wait!

Julie ~ That George... always so funny.

clee ~ Yes, I hear you!

Beer Boys ~ Well, I hope you got that appendix seen to because any explosion is NOT good. My dad's appendix burst years ago. It was BAD NEWS. Well, it is funny... sort of... I mean what sort of idiot shoots himself with a bazooka? Now if he'd read your blog... maybe that wouldn't have happened.

Lexa ~ So sorry that my page bogs you down, girl.

Sandra ~ It is hysterical. So glad you enjoyed...

  18. Once you were dead, we couldn't just sit on our hands... Now, why does that sound familiar to me? Oh wait... I remember. I once not very long ago almost died and people were already thinking about stealing me job.

  19. Hey, still very entertaining even though you posted on Friday and I read it on Sunday.

  20. Good stuff, as usual. And those Autocorrects are awesome!!!

  21. Blue ~ You had a George moment. hahahaha. I am seriously glad you aren't dead. And no one stole your job. Although your job sounds kinda sucky right now...

Susan ~ Ah well, who cares about timing?

    Jay ~ Glad you liked!

  22. Great picks! (As always!) The "Family Feud" one was too much. I liked it so much, I had to share it on Facebook. I mean, who knew? HA! Oh, and thanks for the "Gray's Anatomy" fix. (Isn't it time for that show to come back on YET???)

Thanks for the one in honor of the "Songs of Summer." It's a perfect choice.

  23. OMGosh Loved the Dennis the Menace Party Lines!!! Oddly I remember that one. :)

  24. Wow this post just made my week! I laughed so much I was crying with that autocorrect fails :) I am sure I was meant to live in the USA *sigh* Summertime!

Chanzie @ Mean Who You Are.

  25. Ha this vid is quite fitting :D (I wouldn't play on sympathy note though ahaha) and, as for family feud...I have an excuse NOT being from US and all (and being from this far far away land called Poland haha) - this host is so hillarious - we do have family feud Polish version but our host is SO embarrassingly bland, so horrifyingly boring that people actually make jokes about him ...hard to imagine the show is a rip off of yours! :)
