V IS FOR VALLEY

For each letter of the A to Z, I'm going to give you a KEYWORD. You post in the comments a song with that word in the title. I will give you one to start (along with a video). If you like, you can go to YouTube and embed your video in the comments, so that readers can also listen to your song. No repeats and only post one song so that everyone can participate. If you're just brimming with songs, come back in a few days and lay it on me! If you want to see who else is participating in the A to Z click here.

You guys did great with the last keyword: Under. Here are the songs you thought of with Under in the title:

Mary: Under The Sky by Heart
Michele: Under My Thumb by The Rolling Stones and Got Me Under Pressure by ZZ Top
Rosey: Under Pressure by Queen and David Bowie
Alex: Pull Me Under by Dream Theater
Stephen T. McCarthy: Desperados Under The Eaves by Warren Zevon
Marcy: Down Under by Men At Work
Andrea: Under The Boardwalk by The Drifters
Sarah Foster: Going Under by Evanescence
Ericka: I've Got You Under My Skin by Chris Botti and Katharine McPhee
Jeffrey: Underneath It All by No Doubt
Arlee: Over, Under, Sideways, Down by The Yardbirds
Mike: Under The Bridge by The Red Hot Chili Peppers
Debbie the Doglady: Under The Cherry Moon by Prince and the Revolution
and Under The Milky Way by The Church
Larry: Under The Influence by Joey Tempest
ABFTS: Undercover Martyn by Two Door Cinema Club
Pinku-Sensei: Under The Milky Way by Kill Hannah and Underwaterboys by Shriekback
Mich: Undertow by Tool

If you can think of more songs from previous letters and WANT to post them now, feel free to go back and add them:)

It's a new day and a new letter!

What is the KEYWORD?

I present to you....Down In the Valley by Otis Redding.

You can comment with a song or embed the video simply by copy/pasting the code in the search bar at YouTube. Don't try to embed using the Share option. Thanks for playing along!

    1. Well, not my favorite thing you've posted, but this is a tough word. So, great job!

    2. Yep, "valley" was tough. This one came to me in the shower and it took me a while to completely figure it out because I kept wanting to think it was by Whitesnake instead of White Lion.

  5. This will be a tricky one, and many of the songs I thought of first are taken. But I think I found a good one. I like this song.

  9. You've got me stumped on this one. I've got to go down and get my wife's breakfast ready and see her off to work. I'll think about it then. This is a tough one.

    1. I think you should blame the dude who came up with this crazy alphabet challenge. You get to the end of the month (when you're tired as all get-out), and the letters get nigh on impossible.

    2. Yeah, why do we have those last stupid letters. And that guy you're talking about--where the hell is he? I want to give him a piece of my mind. Maybe I already did since I have so little brain left.

  10. One started playing in my head. Dionne Warwick "Theme from Valley of the Dolls". I thought I'd seen it here, but now looking back I don't see it. This was such a big hit when I was in high school.
