Joking Around

I spent several minutes puzzling over what to write here today.  I finally decided to re-post a joke that I found on Facebook.  I am going to give you fair warning: this is a political joke.  If you don't care for those, you might want to skip it and come back on Wednesday.  However, if you think you can take it, or actually like that sort of thing, this is hilarious.  I nearly hurt myself from laughing so hard.  So read this with caution.  This joke is seriously funny.  Moving on to the joke...

President Obama walks into a local bank in Chicago to cash a check. He is surrounded by Secret Service agents. As he approaches the cashier he says, "Good morning Ma'am, could you please cash this check for me?"

Cashier:
"It would be my pleasure sir. Could you please show me your ID?"

Obama:
"Truthfully, I did not bring my ID with me as I didn't think there was any need to. I am President Barack Obama, the President of the United States of AMERICA !!!!"

Cashier:
"Yes sir, I know who you are, but with all the regulations and monitoring of the banks because of 9/11, impostors, forgers, money laundering, and bad mortgage underwriting not to mention requirements of the Dodd/Frank legislation, etc., I must insist on seeing ID."

Obama:
“Just ask anyone here at the bank who I am and they will tell you. Everybody knows who I am."

Cashier:
"I am sorry Mr. President but these are the bank rules and I must follow them."

Obama:
"I am urging you, please, to cash this check. I need to buy a gift for Michelle for Valentine’s Day"

Cashier:
"Look Mr. President, here is an example of what we can do. One day, Tiger Woods came into one of our bank branches without ID. To prove he was Tiger Woods he pulled out his putter and made a beautiful shot across the bank into a coffee cup. With that shot we knew him to be Tiger Woods and cashed his check.   Another time, Andre Agassi came into the same place without ID. He pulled out his tennis racquet and made a fabulous shot where as the tennis ball landed in a coffee cup. With that shot we cashed his check.  So, Mr. President, what can you do to prove that it is you, and only you, as the President of the United States?"

Obama:
Obama stands there thinking, and thinking, and finally says, "Honestly, my mind is a total blank...there is nothing that comes to my mind. I can't think of a single thing. I have absolutely no idea what to do and I don’t have a clue.”

 Cashier:
"Will that be large or small bills, Mr. President?"

  2. My tendencies as a bleeding heart liberal kept me from chuckling, but I can still appreciate others' appreciation for this joke.

    Have a great week, Robin.

PS I too thought I was the only one who sent blank checks. I'm so glad I'm in good company.

  3. Alex ~ :)

    Susan ~ Sad and true!

    Diane ~ I know...

Jasmine ~ How did I know that you would love this one???

Robyn ~ I have reached the place where I am disgusted with all politicians (as a general rule). There are an elite few that I have hope for, but the majority can and should be replaced. I send blank texts... not checks... Ha! I think I need my eyes checked!

  6. HAR!!!

As a political moderate, I was willing to give Obama an opportunity. He has been a fukken train wreck... Given Obama's performance, if you have liked Obama as president, you had to have liked Bush... I simply don't see that much difference between them, other that the great great level of debt to which Obama and the Dems have taken our country, as well as the lies and scandals... if Obama had any sense, he would have taken lessons from Bill Clinton.

  8. mail4rosey ~ Spread the love:)

Susan ~ That is hilarious and TRUE.

Shoes ~ Agreed! The funny thing is that most Obama supporters hated Bush, but Obama has pretty much carried on with ALL of Bush's policies. Now, how does that make sense. We got more of the same with a different face. But, the public likes it better if it calls itself Democrat??? Or if it comes from the first black President??? Or if we take it politically correct even if it is the same old junk we got under the Bush Administration? Yes, the only thing that is different is that there is more corruption, more scandals, more spending, and more vacations from the First Family at the expense of the taxpayer. You must not be paying attention... the Clintons and the Obamas hate each other despite all of the kissy face they play in public. Barack will never take lessons from Bill... (Most) Americans still think Billy C. was a great President no matter how many times he lied and cheated. BO really should take lessons at the feet of the master.

Carol ~ Well, I have recently come to the conclusion that most of the Republican Party sucks, too. The whole darn system is corrupt. They can put me on a list. I think our entire government is a black spot on this beloved country and a blight against The Constitution. Very few of our elected officials even try to fight for our liberty. Republican, Democrat, doesn't matter... It's like Susan said above... "two cheeks on one stupid ass."

  9. That'd work just as well if I swapped Obama for one of our British political leaders.
