HERE'S TO YOU THURSDAY

image found at www.weheartit.com
SURPRISE. Drum roll please. It is once again HERE'S TO YOU THURSDAY. Yes, you read that correctly.  HERE'S TO YOU THURSDAY is back on Thursday.  For those of you unfamiliar with the once again weekly HERE'S TO YOU THURSDAY posts, I bet you're wondering what is going on.   Well, peeps, let me give you the skinny on this event...

This is a weekly event landing typically on Thursdays.  The best (or worst) part is that I am not going to explain why I chose "whatever" footage for each of you. If, you watch your footage and are scratching your head at the end, well that means I didn't do a very good job. However, all is not lost. You can email me at rarichards68@gmail.com and ask me what I was thinking when I chose that particular piece of footage off of youtube and connected it to you. And then I will tell you. Then I will start sending up prayers that I haven't offended the crap out of whoever is on the receiving end of that email....lol. Because, honestly, I will tell you right now... I admire all of you enormously so I really hope that doesn't happen.

Also, this is not an exclusive venture by any means. I hope that you will take the time to watch ALL of the footage because I don't pick bad footage:-) I also hope that you might check out the blog of the person I dedicated the footage to because they are pretty darn awesome. If you haven't figured this out yet... I pick the footage based on something that you've written or something that I've gleaned from your personality. Think on that for a while... If you are having trouble watching the entire video (meaning it is being cut off on one side), click on it a couple of times and it will take you straight over to youtube. If you click on the four squares at the bottom corner of the video, it will enlarge it to fill your screen. The escape key will bring it back to normal size. The back arrow will bring you back to my page.

Now, let's get this PARTY STARTED!!!!

  3. And here's to you on a Thursday. Yes it's still Thursday as I type this.

I'm now thinking of Yams. Susan is smoking sweet and a darned nice lady.

Holy Rosey, Batman! Dance, Batman dance and mind your cape.

Susan says, "we are family, I've got all my sisters and me..."

Aha, Mr. Cavanaugh, ELO and how are you? Alex, rocks n' rolls!

JJ and Liza, Fenway Park in the dark.

How did you know I dress up like Tootsie?

    Did I do okay, Robin?

That's it! Sadly, I must go now.

  4. Great pick for Alex. I also loved seeing Batman order a fresh-squeezed orange juice at the bar and then dance like a spastic dork. Hilarious.

    Happy Thursday to you,
    xoRobyn

  5. Got a few spare moments and had to come visit - I've missed you! Been reading over previous posts, always so impressed with your wisdom, your observations, how you put the puzzle pieces together with a keen intellect while also showing compassion even to those who don't always deserve it ....

  6. Shoes ~ Glad you were able to get a chuckle in. Come on back, ya hear!

    Alex ~ Rock on!

Gary ~ Yes, you covered everything. I am glad your videos loaded this time and you were able to watch them all! Fenway Park in the dark! Love it:)

Robyn ~ I sorted through a bunch of Batman footage. Even though I watched that show as a kid, I didn't truly appreciate the humor in it. Batman was FUNNY. Those actors surely enjoyed themselves enormously making that show!

Mary ~ Welcome back, my friend. You can take a stroll here anytime. As you know, I am always just muddling along and throwing up my thoughts as I have them!

  7. Tootsie was the first movie I ever got to see in the movies. My mom took me.

Loving the Batman video. I showed hubby and he laughed. That was a really cool car. :)

There are a couple of little somethings for you at my blog today.

    Happy Weekend!

  11. mail4rosey ~ You never forget that first movie at the theatre. Yes, the car was something!

Yvonne ~ Bring back some memories for you, too?

    Susan ~ You are welcome.

    JJ ~ True words.

Carol ~ Now, I'm curious. I am headed your way...

  12. Hooray for comment strings that lead to Here's to You posts! Is that a first? Have a great weekend Robin. Oh, so glad you posted Dustin Hoffman. That made its way around Facebook, but I didn't have time to watch it then. Nice.

  13. Hey... I'm back..

Dustin Hoffman is a genius!! I hear that when he makes the rounds on the morning talk shows, that the crews and staff all love him...

    BATMAN!!!!!

    neenerneenerneenerneenerneenerneenerneener BATMAN!!!!!

Holy Codpiece!!! Batman had some pecker puff going on in those BatShorts!!!! I think the terminology that was used for that show was that it was Camp!

I beg they did have fun making that show! They had some high caliber actors at the time playing the villians... Caesar Romero was the Joker... Frank Gorshin was the Riddler... Burgess Meredith was the Penguin...Julie Newmar was Catwoman!!!

It was SO lame, but I LOVED it!!!

E.L.O... Jeff Lynne is a genius!!!! His marks are on music all over the place today...

    This is wonderful!!!

  14. I've never been here before, but I will be back for sure. This was fun and creative. Oh, I'm stopping by from Carol's blog, congrats on the award.

  15. Just dropped by following the link on Carol Kilgore's blog. This is a novel idea and I'm betting quite an ego booster for people. Very nice thing to do. I didn't watch any of the videos as my internet connection is both slow and I'm limited to 3 gig per month usage. For those fortunate to have fast and unlimited internet, this must be great!

  16. Dustin Hoffman almost made me cry. I totally get his meaning even in the parts he can't speak. Totally.

And the song you chose for Alex is wonderful. I like it very much!

  17. Liza ~ Comment strings brought you HERE? Hmmmm.

Shoes ~ Glad you made it back. Batman was definitely *camp.* I loved it as a kid, but didn't fully appreciate it. Watching it now is a totally different experience. And you are SO RIGHT about the acting talent.

I hadn't heard that about Dustin Hoffman, but it doesn't surprise me at all.

Why am I not surprised that you like ELO????

Inger ~ Thanks for stopping in. Congrats on your own mention:)

David ~ People do seem to love it; I am sorry that you weren't able to watch any of the selections:(

Al ~ Yeah. Sometimes emotion just takes you over so completely that there are no words.

  18. Thanks for song. It fits perfectly. Had to laugh at the video. I swear I wore a dress just like that as a bridesmaid for my little sister's wedding. Nice and swirly.
