HERE'S TO YOU THURSDAY

SURPRISE. Drum roll please. It is once again HERE'S TO YOU THURSDAY. Yes, you read that correctly.  HERE'S TO YOU THURSDAY is back on Thursday.  For those of you unfamiliar with the once again weekly HERE'S TO YOU THURSDAY posts, I bet you're wondering what is going on.   Well, peeps, let me give you the skinny on this event...

This is a weekly event landing typically on Thursdays.  The best (or worst) part is that I am not going to explain why I chose "whatever" footage for each of you. If, you watch your footage and are scratching your head at the end, well that means I didn't do a very good job. However, all is not lost. You can email me at rarichards68@gmail.com and ask me what I was thinking when I chose that particular piece of footage off of youtube and connected it to you. And then I will tell you. Then I will start sending up prayers that I haven't offended the crap out of whoever is on the receiving end of that email....lol. Because, honestly, I will tell you right now... I admire all of you enormously so I really hope that doesn't happen.

Also, this is not an exclusive venture by any means. I hope that you will take the time to watch ALL of the footage because I don't pick bad footage:-) I also hope that you might check out the blog of the person I dedicated the footage to because they are pretty darn awesome. If you haven't figured this out yet... I pick the footage based on something that you've written or something that I've gleaned from your personality. Think on that for a while... If you are having trouble watching the entire video (meaning it is being cut off on one side), click on it a couple of times and it will take you straight over to youtube. If you click on the four squares at the bottom corner of the video, it will enlarge it to fill your screen. The escape key will bring it back to normal size. The back arrow will bring you back to my page.

Now, let's get this PARTY STARTED!!!!

  3. I hit "publish" too fast-is that Deborah Winger playing "Wonder Girl?"

  4. Hi Robin,

Maybe I need a new computer of my broadband isn't fast enough. I find it can take ages to load up with so many videos. Oh well, what did I manage to check. Well 1810 to 2012 and a fine British movie with what seems a nice British twist of a hit movie.

Perhaps true love is fantasy. Although, a bit of Hall and Oates, is fine with me. No mention of "Man Eater".

It's a very kind gesture that you do with this. You, kind lady, epitomise what I consider to be the qualities of a sharing, caring blogging community.

Much respect to you. Thanks, Robin.

    Gary :)

  5. You can best believe that I watched all 2:34 of my video....thank you, Robin!! :D

I didn't realize Deborah Winger was so 'ahem' healthy back then.

Awesome footage for all...as usual :)

  6. Robin: I have always done my own thing, and it can be lonely. However, I don't often meet people with such depth as to understand. Checkmate!

  7. Good choices, at least for the ones I now. I like Mark's Wonder Woman. As I watched, I had a longing to have that figure again. We are never satisfied with our bodies, are we? Well, who can be when we reach this age?? Phillis Diller was a stitch. I loved her hearty laugh. Dorothy Kilgallen (sp) .... I keep hearing conspiracy theories about her death and it all fits. Oopps, off the subject.
    Good vids.

  8. Haha! I loved all choices but Mark Means' the most! So he can stop sighing and feeling nostalgic. :D Great!

  9. Alex ~ Ha. So true.

LC ~ Crazy People is hilarious. Some great lines in that movie. Yep. That is Debra Winger. And I don't want to talk about old...

Gary ~ Ironically, Maneater would have been more appropriate for that movie;)

Mark ~ Glad you enjoyed it. I watched a lot of Wonder Woman clips before I found one I really liked. I had no idea that there was so much material on YouTube.

JJ ~ So glad that the clip hit you on all the levels...

Manzanita ~ No. We are never satisfied with how we look. I have a wrinkle forming above my right eye due to my constant migraines. Bugs the crap out of me. See? Obsess much??? Phyllis Diller was a trip. I am not familiar with Dorothy... I guess I will have to look her up.

Al ~ Hahahaha. We will see if that happens.

  11. Good choices! You've got a real knack for this, kiddo.

  12. I had fun watching snippets of all of these, and Wonder Woman brought back fond memories. Thanks so much for another dedication, Robin! This one was a perfectly convoluted glimpse of romance or just friendship or love without commitment or perhaps commitment but we won't call it that...exactly as it goes.

    Have a great weekend.
