SURPRISE. Drum roll please. It is once again HERE'S TO YOU THURSDAY. Yes, you read that correctly.  HERE'S TO YOU THURSDAY is back on Thursday.  For those of you unfamiliar with the once again weekly HERE'S TO YOU THURSDAY posts, I bet you're wondering what is going on.   Well, peeps, let me give you the skinny on this event...

This is a weekly event landing typically on Thursdays.  The best (or worst) part is that I am not going to explain why I chose "whatever" footage for each of you. If, you watch your footage and are scratching your head at the end, well that means I didn't do a very good job. However, all is not lost. You can email me at and ask me what I was thinking when I chose that particular piece of footage off of youtube and connected it to you. And then I will tell you. Then I will start sending up prayers that I haven't offended the crap out of whoever is on the receiving end of that Because, honestly, I will tell you right now... I admire all of you enormously so I really hope that doesn't happen.

Also, this is not an exclusive venture by any means. I hope that you will take the time to watch ALL of the footage because I don't pick bad footage:-) I also hope that you might check out the blog of the person I dedicated the footage to because they are pretty darn awesome. If you haven't figured this out yet... I pick the footage based on something that you've written or something that I've gleaned from your personality. Think on that for a while... If you are having trouble watching the entire video (meaning it is being cut off on one side), click on it a couple of times and it will take you straight over to youtube. If you click on the four squares at the bottom corner of the video, it will enlarge it to fill your screen. The escape key will bring it back to normal size. The back arrow will bring you back to my page.

Now, let's get this PARTY STARTED!!!!

  1. Video clips?! I don't need no stinkin' video clips!

    Too funny!

  2. You had me at Eye of the tiger. lol.

Also that picture on your post always makes me smile, I often find myself on our blog and see that picture and go yep, I feel you buddy.

  3. I like this idea! Instead of a Wordless Wednesday its a sort of Video Thursday. Very cool. Somehow, some way, I will almost certainly steal this idea and make it my own. And I LOVE CougarTown.

  4. weird, cause that is kind of what has been happening around here....learning how to love people enough to tell them the truth and then forgive and not expect everyone and everything to be perfect. Thanks Robin.

  5. Yep. Love Thursday afternoons with Robin...and friends.

  6. LC ~ I thought you would like this one. It took me a minute to change zones to connect the dots on your comment. This is me letting you know "I got it."

Brandon ~ Who doesn't love "Eye of the Tiger?"

Memphis Steve ~ I hate to bear the bad news here, but this is a Gift. Hahahahaha. I was thrilled when Cougar Town was "rescued." Woohoo. I sometimes wonder who is running things over there at ABC...

Christine ~ Just like everything else, our models for Friendship are Not Quite Right. We need to learn to forgive ourselves and each other a bit more.

Liza ~ I love Thursdays, too:)

    1. LMBO @ 'You Don't Bring Me Flowers!!!!'

Now, I wonder what brought THIS on!?!?!?!?!?!

  7. Hey Robin,

Yes, I do like how you incorporate a video into somehow relating to the blogger. Ah yes, I remember you including my shy self on one occasion. And nothing like a bit of Country n' Western. At this rate, I might start line dancing, but I doubt it.

Be well and well done to those fine recipients you selected.

  8. LOL!! I can relate to the Frazzle Dazzle as I tend to mumble too :)

Also...Eye of the Tiger!! Yes!!! Great pick! :)

  9. I almost posted that song with my blog post...
It's hard to think of singers today that capture anything like what George Jones was doing. That whole time period of the late 70's-early 80's in country music is just such a sound track to my childhood in so many ways.
That tear in the voice is just something, isn't it?
There are country artists who are doing some great emotional stuff these days, but it's just done differently.
    Thanks for thinking of me!

  10. I like your vids that fit the person. Seems like life is just one big song, at times and there is always a song to fit every occasion. If not a song, you got the dialogue, too.

  11. Shoes ~ If you can get "cheeky" about flowers, well that road runs both ways;)

klahanie ~ Ah, Gary, you just never know when you will appear here again. Sometimes it's country and sometimes it's Rock n' Roll. We like to mix it up here.

Mark ~ Hahaha Frazzle Dazzle. Al hasn't seen it yet... hope he likes it!

Jasmine ~ Ha! We were on the same page again. I think we will always love the music of our childhood best. But, yes, there is still some great music being recorded now. It is, of course, different.

Manzanita ~ Your comment tells me that this post is hitting the mark. Thank you!

  12. Wow!! The Eye of the Tiger is one of my favorite songs. Right now I'm the eye of the raccoon but I cannot stop grinning while listening to the song. You've just made my day.
And the first video is hilarious and I sometimes feel like that with some posts I read, and even some I write, hahahaha. I feel like no one will understand a word said. :D Great stuff, Robin!

  13. Robin: Wow! You can get into my head. Did you ever live on IO?

  14. Love it. Eye of the Tiger brings back memories.

    I love that.

The Frazzle Dazzle, doesn't have a patch on the Coffee Order ;)

  16. Al ~ So glad to have made your day. I know what you mean. Frazzle What?

JJ ~ Nope. I have heard a lot about it, though. I am very familiar with the Bulls, however.

Susan ~ Yeah, it is an awesome song. I love how a song can do that!

Mind of Mine ~ Mer and Christina... one of the best couples on TV. Hahaha. I think people are starved for friendship and that is why it plays so well. Laurie's coffee order... one of my favorite CT moments!

  17. The Eye of the Tiger... Wish I had pair of those now, Robin. :) I remember go to see that movie like itwas only yesterday. I don't think it was...

  18. Manzanita's saying good things about you, so I came to visit. :)

I love that Barbara Streisand/Neil Diamond song. My mom is a huge fan of the song and them, so of course, I like it too.

And now that I've seen that clip w/Gossling and Hopkins, I've got to see the movie!

  19. What a great idea! I love it :) The Frazzle Dazzle? Oh my gosh. My husband can relate to that...he used to work for Starbucks! Trust me: in Georgia, on a NASCAR race weekend, you never know what kind of orders people are going to make!

  20. Well, I'll be dancing to Eye of the Tiger in my head for the rest of the day.

And the "You are My Person" video is perfect. I love strong girl friendships and Grey's Anatomy always nails them. :)

    Hugs to you!

  21. Grumpster ~ Nope. Only *seems* like yesterday...

Mail4rosey ~ Manzanita is a sweetheart. Glad you found some good stuff here!

Jen ~ Love that Frazzle Dazzle clip. I think everyone can relate:)

Phoenix ~ Glad I could help out with your dance music for the day. Love me some Grey's!!!

  22. I LOVE CougarTown! And I met the band Survivor a few years ago when they did a concert just south of Memphis. I was backstage and watched them all arrive one at a time, rather than all together on some bus. It was an outdoor concert and the singer wore his leather pants in the ungodly summer heat and humidity. I don't know how he didn't fry his eggs in those things.

    1. I LOVE Cougar Town, too! That show has some funny, funny stuff. Never seen Survivor in concert. Appreciate that Real-Life Breakdown. Some days I really miss the 80s.
