There are occasions when I have a really difficult time holding it all together. Right now I'm in one of them. My WiP has suffered by neglect more than you can know. I'm aware that it's turned into a real problem and am now actively making time to read. That can help me to become unstuck. Sometimes, just reading someone else's story gets me excited about my own (again), and I desperately need that. PLUS, last night at 2:30 or so I was awakened by a stomach virus. The pits. At about 6:30 that pain began to recede only to be replaced by a pick in the eye migraine that makes me think fondly of axes. Don't ask. I know we all have challenges in this writing journey. What is yours right now???
For each letter of the A to Z, I'm going to give you a KEYWORD. You post in the comments a song with that word in the title. I will give you one to start (along with a video). If you like, you can go to YouTube and embed your video in the comments, so that readers can also listen to your song. No repeats and only post one song so that everyone can participate. If you're just brimming with songs, come back in a few days and lay it on me! If you want to see who else is participating in the A to Z click here.
You guys did great with yesterday's word: Dream. Here are the songs you thought of with Dream in the title:
Andrea: Sweet Dreams by The Eurythmics (did you see the YouTube video I posted for you???)
Stephen T. McCarthy: These Dreams of You by Van Morrison
Marcy: Dream On by Aerosmith and Someone's Rocking My Dreamboat by Murray Head
Alex J. Cavanaugh: Dreamline by Rush
Sarah Foster: You Make My Dreams Come True by Hall and Oates
Rosey: I Can Dream About You by Dan Hartman
Holli and Susan: Boulevard of Broken Dreams by Green Day
Mary Burris: Dreams by Fleetwood Mac
ABFTS: Dreams to Remember by Milli Vanilli
Robyn and CW: All You Have To Do Is Dream by The Everly Brothers
Dixie: Dream Lover by Sandra Dee and Bobby Darin
Jeffrey: Don't Dream It's Over by Crowded House
Debbie the Doglady: Gemini Dream by The Moody Blues
Cathy Kennedy: Dream a Little Dream of Me by Ella Fitzgerald and Louis Armstrong
Honorable Mention for trying:
Rebecca: Burning House by Cam (which contained the word dream in the first lyric)
If you posted a Dream song and don't see it here, it came in after I called it a night. If you can think of more songs from previous letters and WANT to post them now, feel free to go back and add them:)
It's a new day and a new letter!
What is the KEYWORD?
You can use variations. In this case, eye, eyed, and eyeing are also acceptable. I suppose if you can think of a song with eyeball in it, that's also good. You get the idea...
I present to you... Her Eyes by Pat Monahan.
You can comment with the song title and singers OR embed the video by using the code in the search bar. Thanks for playing along!
Special thanks to Arlee Bird and the A to Z team who make this possible!
